    TGIF!!

I went to No Frills yesterday afternoon. They had chicken breast on for $1LB and I had 200 PC PTS per $ Bought a few packages. ( they were out of the flyer deal so replaced with breasts. Better in my opinion!) Cooked up one package and it is ready in the fridge for quesidias tonight for dinner with Greek salad and oven fries. My youngest will love dinner tonight!
They also had most toothpaste/brushes and maxi pads with 50% off stickers. I bought tons of tooth paste for 50 cents a box (all on sale/clearance then sticker deal) and a bunch of electric toothbrushes.

Have a fun and safe long weekend everyone

    Morning all,
@Ciel I hope you have something special planned for your upcoming birthday!

Snowy day here, I'm thinking leftovers for supper.

Eldest is home again today (day 2) with the flu, he needs to call the dentist as he's scheduled for his wisdom teeth extraction on Tuesday during reading week (college break), they said to notify if he has a cold.

Dh is off to Costco tonight to fill out propane tanks.

No plans for the weekend just the way I like it, I guess I'm a hermit (haha).

I'll check in later, have a great day everyone!

Wow, $1.00 for Chicken breast @Frugalbigmama I am envious. Both DH and I have the chicken offer on our PCO cards and I have saved mine 3 times waiting for a deal. I am happy with the No Frills flyer so will journey to Mississauga after work as we have a tiny NFs and while it works for small shops I think I will do better at the bigger one and the one I want has a Giant Tiger nearby and they had some deals that were interesting as well.

Shopped for work and received $33.20 in PC pts for me
Added $20 to DS's wallet gift (Fall birthday)

Went home at lunch to put milk in fridge that I bought at SDM. Made a grilled cheese for lunch instead of picking up soup from Tim Hortons witch was my original plan.

Twin boy is feeling much better today.

At 8am there were a lot of fire trucks heading to an emergency. A very large shop 1 block Northeast of our house was on fire. The fire hydrant was frozen so the city had to send a steam truck to get it to work. Luckily the shop was on a corner lot and had a large gravel parking lot around it, the fire is not spread. We could smell smoke in our house. It was -32 at the time, -42 with the windchill.

Ds’ 9 day winter break starts this weekend. It looks like my Pre-K girl won’t be here next week, but my toddler daycare girl will be. I’ve been in contact with some new potential daycare families, but no new signed contracts yet.

    Hello, everyone!
    Belated Happy Valentine's greetings!

I am trying to do my part with some semblance of frugality, and go through the flyers, listing anything I think my husband may use, or wants I have.
I don't know what's min the fridge and cupboards, so I just make educated guesses.
He is pretty sick of takeout, though, and has done a fair bit of cooking. He tackled making ribs earlier in the week, for the first time, and our son said they were quite good.

So the progress report on me is amazeballs!!!
Things just clicked this week, and thanks to a very special physiotherapist here, I am doing things I didn't even envisage yet.

Two days ago I did my first transfer from bed to wheelchair (not your regular type, it's really large, tall, padded, tips back, etc.), so that was wonderful in itself.
Then we went down to a therapy room and I used the parallel bars - with three helpers. I was able to walk farther, and am working on getting up and sitting down better.

Now each of the past two days, I just increased what I had been doing there - the distance, duration, and technique.
With using the parallel bars instead of the walker, it just feels so secure and safe - plus I am followed just inches behind me with the wheelchair, and someone on each side to put on the breaks if something were to happen.
Plus the bars have an electronic mechanism so they can be made higher or lower, plus closer or wider.

So I am so very pleased to have made such progress in a week! My steps are not wonderful, but I am still at least doing them!

And yay to good meds that get me through it all! Lol!

Take care, everyone, have a Fab long weekend!

You are all so kind with your messages of support and caring, it's much appreciated!

Hello my friends! I took my doggie to the vet for her mid-year checkup that is covered by the wellness plan I took out. Very sadly, since she was used as a breeder for so long and not spayed until last year, she has developed mammary tumors. I had to set a $amount in my brain because I am very tapped out at present and to weigh her chances of a good prognosis. So, I decided to go ahead and her surgery is set for next Wednesday. This means that I have to get down to Niagara Falls on Monday which is their President 's Day and our Family day and then make a quick run over (I hope) on Tuesday morning to get my business done with Social Security and then get home as she goes in very early on Wednesday morning. I will be going myself as all my friends are busy with Family Day things. I got a very cheap rate at a place where I have stayed before with some perks thrown in.

I ordered a new coat online from Hudson's Bay as mine is in dire need of being replaced. They had a major sale with free shipping last week. When it came, it was too big, so I will incorporate returning it as part of my trip.

Then I have re-arranged my move in date so that I can get her settled before the movers come and move the big furniture. She's been the light of my life over the past tough year and I am praying that she will be ok.

I found new movers who quoted me a price and timing that was less than the first ones.

Natalka congrats on the physio improvements, I have seen family members work on getting their strength back and know how hard it can be especially mentally when it feels like your body is failing you.

Greentires cysts suck, I had them as a teenager and ended up in the hospital multiple times to rule out appendicitis before they figured out it was cysts.

    Good Morning Everyone,
Wow where did last week go??????

Tuesday we were sent home early, they decided to close our branch at Noon, but since I can work remotely I did not get the afternoon off (I was seriously mocked the next day for not taking the afternoon off by co workers) as I had some reports due so I had to work.

My whole week has been juggling training a new manager vs being me and getting my own work done and attending meetings. As well as juggling life at home as I have been going in early to work and staying late but other than Tuesday, I have not worked from home. But with that being said most nights my accomplishments were make dinner, clean the kitchen and pack lunches.

I really want this 3 day weekend off but at the same time, I have so much going on I will admit I am tempted to work this weekend to get myself in a good place going into this week to come. I had my performance review yesterday and my goals/initiatives for this year are a lot of large projects and I can admit I am a little overwhelmed right now. I have not decided yet as right now my whole body is like this is our 3 day weekend off we want to do nothing.

On a positive note, I am still struggling a bit with sleep but I am really starting to feel better and I have been able to achieve this naturally mostly through just adding/adjusting my diet in very minor ways. I have been using Warm Lemon Water and added in Apple Cinnamon water to my daily routine as well I have increased my fruit and vegetable intake and really seems to be helping. There were a couple of days I did not eat as well as I should have but with the other changes to my diet I still felt good so I think I am headed in the right direction.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day

Yesterday I received a package from amazon it was shoelaces for long boots like army style. I’m still waiting on two street signs and a
Pendant from third party sellers on amazon. I redeemed another $5 gift card code from coin pop from playing free casino slots games lol I have never put money into games like that I just know when to stop. The other
Day I bought hogs and kisses scratch and wins and won 7$ I tried my luck again with another ticket to no luck at all.

I was in the hospital last night in tremendous amounts of pain the doctor wouldn’t even examine me told me there was nothing wrong with me even told me I was lying about the cysts. Told me that all they could do was write me a script for naproxen. I fought with the doctor over this saying “naproxen, Celebrex, difloenac sodium, toradol, Tylenol and ibuprofen don’t even touch the fing pain. All you guys ever do here is read a file here never examine me extensively or try anything new. I am sure there is other treatments that you haven’t tried before that may work for this sort of pain. Heck my arm is a different color then the rest of my body and no one seems to care why is that? This place is always my last resort I can barely stand without feeling extremely dizzy and lightheaded I have fallen 3 times and injured myself 3 times. And you want to prescribe naproxen?”

I just want to be able to be taken seriously I am sick of all the BS with the hospital and sick of all the BS with robin my mental health nurse. Robin she told me yesterday that quote on quote “I do more work then you do!” I wonder if she thinks I am faking this she believes that I have anxiety over the phone when I have taken a anxiety medication hour before the call I been having problems breathing at that moment and she was yelling and demanding that I should’ve shown up to this depression group. How could I tell you the truth I was puking, in pain and not sleeping. Things are in the past stop digging the grave already I think the depression group for that time is dead and gone. No need to think about the skeletons in the closet. I don’t make her feel guilty for the time off she is at home doing whatever if she is insecure about her life then it’s not my problem it’s hers she shouldn’t bring it to work.

I bought gold peak ice tea raspberry flavour at the corner store with some chocolate covered Oreos.

I need toilet paper and there’s a sale on at shoppers today for $4.99. Maybe I should wait until I have more money...I am not exactly sure. Or go no frills for their $1 sales. I think paper can wait and maybe get some food this time around.

@Natalka good to hear things are progressing.

I was happy my second No Frills shop had the ground chicken that I had the coup for so it was free. I also earned PCO points. Even though its frozen in a tube I got the chicken points. I also used PCO points to pay for groceries, this month has been another low spend month but I am now in need of a few things and the freezer is fill only because we all made a bunch of meals, both kids were involved. Today they are making pizza dough which actually freezes quite well. I offered to buy the ready made in the store and both boys looked at me with horror.
Monday we are driving to Woodstock to meet my in-laws for lunch at Swiss Chalet. My mom also lives close so she will join us, she is having a really hard time this week. Its her 1st Valentines Day since dad passed and man did he love to buy her flowers for every event. He would buy flowers because she sent him to the grocery store. The weather Monday looks good, which is a good thing considering the craziness we have had recently.
