Monday’s supper was cream of mushroom soup, grilled cheese sandwiches, and baby cut carrots.
Tuesday’s supper was spiral noodles, creamy pasta sauce, Johnsonville sausages, baby cut carrots, and sliced long English cucumbers.
Tonight’s supper is home made sweet and sour pork with rice and boiled mixed veggies.
We’ll be going on a quick road trip this weekend. Dh has a meeting to attend. The kids and I are joining so that we can visit some of my relatives, since we haven’t traveled up since last summer. I plan on packing some sandwiches, snacks, water bottles, and baking. I think the kids and I will be eating lunch at my soster’s Place on Saturday. Still have to figure out supper on Saturday, then we’ll be driving home and avoid paying for another night in the hotel.Last edited by Angela273; Wed, Feb 27th, 2019 at 06:05 PM.

Good Evening Everyone,
Got a ton of stuff done last night after work even though I left late. I stopped at No Frills on my way home, I decide to just do a small shop because honestly I didn't want to haul in a lot of groceries so I just grabbed:
Milk
4 x Yogurt 1.99 + 200 pc each
2 x Broccoli $1
2 x Iceburg $1
1 x Romaine 2-Pack $2
1 x Baby Spinach $4 less 50%
2 x Mushrooms $1
This will be enough to get us to next week, although Mom did comment on maybe going to Costco tomorrow night so we will see. Although I do think there are a couple food items on her list but most of it is household & pharmacy items like Toilet Paper, Paper Towel, Costco Brand Robax & Polysporin. I will probably push for going tomorrow as I am not sure we will make it there next week and we are running low on Robax and I am just worried if my back spasms again and I don't have any it could be bad. My back has been better the last couple days but I am still trying to take it easy to not push it.
When I got home I emptied and reloaded the dishwasher.
I also tried a new recipe for dinner, 1 Pan Fajita Bowls, it goes in the oven and has Rice, Chicken, Onions & Peppers., I also added Mushrooms as we normally have Mushrooms in our Fajitas. I modified the recipes because it looked like it would be too spicy which would have been because even with the modifications we found it hot for out tastes. As well I would like to see if I can increase the amount of Rice in the Recipe to stretch the recipe a little further (ideally dinner and 2 lunches). All and all we liked it and with a few tweaks we will make it again.
Also whipped up a Batch of Cookie Bars, I made Chocolate with Salted Caramel Chips for today's meeting. They went over well most liked them as they said they were not too sweet.
Tonight on the other hand I have not gotten a lot done. My accomplishment for tonight is I made dinner. Tonight we had Spaghetti and Meatballs, using Homemade Meatballs from the Freezer. Will tidy up the kitchen once we are done dinner.
Hope everyone has a great night2022 is going to be my year, the year I find organization in my life and the year I focus on myself,

@flemeth sorry for your loss.
We had another snow day today. It’s the 4th in the past 5 weeks. I decided I was not facing the commute because GO transit sucks at the best of times. Based on the number of train delays I think I made the right choice. Took advantage of being at home and pulled pork tenderloin out for dinner. The oldest did most of the meal prep while DH cleared the drive and I worked.Friends don't let real friends pay full price.

The last day of Feb-hard to believe. I think we are all looking forward to spring and better weather. DH and I plan to drive to Vancouver next week to visit DD for a few days if weather through the mountains permits. I assume we will see some green there instead of all this white! We both continue to work away at our part time retirement jobs and have started working on our taxes-looks like we shouldn't owe due to unused tuition deductions transferred from DD. Fingers crossed! Happy March and spring to all.

I get samples of Robax platinum from my doctor the one with ibuprofen in it. It’s handy to have around the house. 24 pouches of 2 tablets each so 48tablets. Because it’s expensive to buy because I used to buy them 5 boxes at a time to each the amount I take these days in a month. Just wanted to let you know about doctors and there samples not to rub it in at all.

Morning! Yes bring on March!!! I need a warm day to wash the vehicle. It is filthy!
The leafs played last night so dinner was fend for yourself. I cleaned the kitchen and put a load in the washer. I hung what needed to hang dry and put in dryer this morning. Will do a load of towels tonight and put all the clean stuff away. I have ground beef defrosting so tacos is on the menu tonight. Will put some cooked beef aside for nachos this weekend.
Off to see what my PC Pts offer

Well some interesting PC offers. No Frills 1000 pts for $10 in produce. RCSS 5000 pts for every $50 spent. Plus 800 pts for every $4 in Stayfree so will get free pads and free points!
Yesterday I went to GT and bought 4 items for $7.51 and used a prepaid VISA gift card that was gifted to me long ago and kicking around in my wallet.
I have a credit of $197.33 on my main MasterCard. That should cover groceries/misc. spending for the next 2 weeks. I have a full tank of gas but will top it up when needed. I have a free day planned at the casino next week with $200 free slot play offer for my birthday so hopefully I can make some money to come home with We went to Winners last night and mama wants to go shopping Saw lots of clothing I actually liked and great prices. Really cute blouses for work and would go great with jeans.

Afternoon all,
DS1 did the groceries at GT yesterday so thankful and he's going to Metro today to stockup on our favorite yogurt for $2.99 and bread
Supper tonight is hot italian sausages on the bbq with carrot muffins for dessert with icing (it's my mum's bday today) and I miss her so much, hard to believe it's her 1st birthday since she passed in August.
I will get dh to pickup DS2's birthday cake from DQ tomorrow on his way home as his birthday is Sunday. He still hasn't decided what he wants for supper he said no pizza or chinese so we'll see what he decides.
The sunshine is out and the hens are loving the extra daylight and are starting to lay again . We don't supplement lighting in the winter so the girls quit laying, I guess it's their resting period.
Wishing everyone a great day2019 is the year that we continue to save before we buy!!!

I’m going shopping at No Frills tonight, hopefully use a few more coupons. I’m looking forward to posting my savings totals for the month. It’s higher than February, when we were away for 8 days.
Has the March thread been started yet? If so, I’ll need to find it.Last edited by Angela273; Thu, Feb 28th, 2019 at 05:18 PM.

Glad I popped into Shoppers today. Used my seniors discount and my vitamins were 50% off (optimum offer) calculated after the seniors discount - so 70% off my vitamins! Had I known I would have bought a larger bottle.
