    March 3 to June 30, 2019 - Offer

Sunday to Thursday only tickets can be used,
not valid for Friday and Saturday.

    https://www.cineplex.com/Promos/Gene...lls-promotions

Be careful some are Child Tickets and some Adult tickets, so buy the right box.

The box will specify that, whether it is a child or adult ticket.

Adult tickets can always be used for a child, but not vice versa.

Cereals are $ 4.99 at most places. Rarely they go below that and almost never on sale when this promo is on.

So grab the box with the movie codes if you find one. They get harder and harder to find with time.

😎 PM elsewhere if you don't have a close WM or yo WM doesn't have the new movie boxes yet, and have the old stock.

I've been to three stores (by chance, not because I'm obsessed with this promo or anything) -- and none of them had the boxes yet.

Usually ON, especially GTA is the first to get the new stock. Most other provinces get them late.

The stores also wait for the old stock to get over before placing the new boxes.

Sometimes the new boxes are not in the regular cereal aisle, but they will be on a pallet or skid somewhere in the corner or back end of the store!

In the last 3-4 years they have got greedy.

Before that 1 Box = 1 Free Movie Ticket , now

    2 Boxes = 2 unique PINS = 1 Movie Ticket.

Yea, I had the usual look around as well... and yes, I live in NB where we're a bit delayed in getting inventories such as this.

Yea, I had just noticed that.

So basically $10 worth of cereal will get me a $12 movie ticket. Not worth the hunt as much as it once was.
If I see one and want one, I might get one. But I'm not going to bust my butt to find any.

Yeah, not too worth it for me either.

Sometimes similar cereal from a different company or no name store brand - same size box and same taste will be on sale for $ 1.99 and I will think do I really need 2 boxes of $4.99 cereal just for some movie ticket?

    1 box = 1 ticket, I would buy in a heartbeat, but 2 boxes I hesitate a bit.

When I saw this promo for the very first time, it was back in 2000 and it was Post cereals, not General Mills.

It was a free movie pass, no restrictions (could use it any day of the week, for any movie) and you clipped the voucher off the box and presented it at the box office (no pun intended). -- there were no mobile or online ticket sales at that time.
The cereal was available from March until April of that year and the vouchers were valid from March until December of that year.

There were 8 different varieties of Post cereals with the vouchers on them, however Shredded Wheat was the cheapest. It cost $2.99 per box and sometimes was on sale for $1.99 (the cheapest Post cereal at that time... others were as high as $5.99)

I bought up pretty much all of the Shredded Wheat from various grocery stores between Saint John and Moncton during the sale period. I wound up going to movies for free for the rest of that year.

I had something like 60 boxes lined up all atop the cupboards around my kitchen. But since I didnt have to break the seals around the cereal to get the coupon, I wound up donating most of it to the food bank... just with a hole in the back of the box.

    Good times.
