PM Trudeau, such an embarrassment...
"What do you and your family do to cut back on plastics"
“He said this: “we have recently switched to drinking water bottles out of…water, when we have water bottles…out of a plastic…sorry…away from plastic towards paper…like drink-box, water-bottle sorta things.”’
Such sunny ways!

Scheer says study needed on how single-use plastics ban would impact him personally
"“The Canadian economy is built on single-use plastics. If we stop using straws or throwing out all our plastic bags, small businesses will perish,” Scheer said, with no proof or evidence of his own to offer. “But more importantly, how would this affect my day-to-day?"

Save your money(thanks, old ING Direct ads' tagline)! Some old Canadian bills will lose their legal tender status in 2021-don't miss out on your chance to cash in those bills, if they are not rare collectors' items earning you serious numismatic money.
Learn about legal tender bank notes, what removing legal tender status means and which bank notes are affected.
The Government of Canada now has the power to remove legal tender status from bank notes—something it could not do before. Effective January 1, 2021, the Government will remove that designation from certain bank notes that are no longer being produced—the $1, $2, $25, $500 and $1,000 notes(underline is mine)— the final step to fully removing them as transactional notes in Canada. This initiative is supported by the Bank of Canada.
Second tire separation hitting another vehicle incident in Ontario in recent weeks:

Ontario may increase driver and vehicle fees this year (headline on today's morning shows, I noticed):
The posting on the regulatory registry was up for just five days and removed on Monday. Only two comments were received, the ministry said. The fee increases would start July 1 and continue for five years, under the proposal.
"It is anticipated there will be a neutral to negative reaction from drivers, vehicle owners and commercial carriers, with the impact on drivers and vehicle owners estimated to be low as proposed increases are minimal and will be spread over a five-year planning horizon," the proposal says.
The government froze some driver fees last August, cancelling increases that had been set for the following month, leaving the fee for a new driver's licence, for example, at $90 instead of $97.
Tom Molloy, Sask.'s 22nd lieutenant governor, remembered for lifetime of achievements
He died on Tuesday from pancreatic cancer. He was 78.
I knew nothing about him until he became our LG last year.
He was a man of amazing accomplishments, not only here.
Molloy is perhaps best known for his work negotiating agreements and treaty settlements with Indigenous people. He was the lead federal negotiator in the discussions that led to Nunavut’s creation in 1999, completed the Nisga’a treaty in British Columbia in 2000 and was involved in claims negotiations throughout the country.
