Good morning everyone! I was awoken at 10am today so i must have needed sleep.
Weekend was busy but fun. Live band Friday night. Fire and drinks with friends Sat night. Both nights up late. Didnt leave my friends place till 3am and she said they were up till the sun came up! We were all paying for it Sunday.
Yesterday morning i woke up at 5am and didnt have plans till later in the day. (Everyone worked!) Decided to take a drive to casino for free breakfast. I won a huge jackpot and received a Canada Day t-shirt ( gave it to my youngest) So today i am off to do some shopping since our fridge is empty and boring. So happy to splurge today and stock us up. I also have to return library books and deposit DS's pay cheque. And at some point clean house and do laundry

Actually, @jasperandchar gets credit for the frugal chatter thread part, whilst I add something we might all think relating to the month in discussion. I appreciate everyone who posts in the threads-we all learn here!

Publisac does offer some good contests online, I have noticed. Yes, it's hard to lose print copies of flyers.

So, I checked my local Longos on Sunday-the Nestea cases don't show the Cineplex B1G1 free coupons as the flyer does. But Longos and Ancaster Walmart did get Diet Coke 500ml bottles with the Unlock and Win contest gold caps! Yes, I bought one bottle. Did three store trips on Sundays, returned some cans for cash and found three more cans (cashed in today plus I found a nickel).
Actually found my second Pepsi Stuff contest cap on a walk too! Hurrah-but no instant win.

I put $1.15 towards this month's bank fee and I will keep the change parts of my HST and OTB credits in my account to help the fee building.

Have 13 yard waste bags at the curb for pickup-neighbour's tree fell down in our yard while I was weeding in the garden and then this slow-motion drop occurred on Saturday night. I heard on and off treetop rustling in the minutes prior to the fall, thinking someone was on the other side of the trees/shrubs. There were so many runners/vines from a mulberry tree and a shrub around the fallen tree's limbs and trunk, that it took me Saturday evening and a few hours yesterday to cut and to bag them and branches. Yes, I was going through my canned bevvies and water like water...hot in the sun--needed my sibling's hat or I would have stopped the cleanup.

Healthwise, I feel like I'm in some kind of shadowlands. I spent time last night realizing I have to actively spend a few hours to piece together what I have done/heard/read over the past year and figure out the summer plan for dealing with increased pain when I lift or bend.

Since it's July, I know many members are remembering people who have passed away (death anniversaries). Last year in this month, it was my late Dad's last garlic harvest and I knew it.

Think I will go back to CT tomorrow and buy the coffee to go container i was thinking about buying today.
I bought 2 x 6pk Gatorade today for the Fall for DS (hockey).

Older son was home today, yay summer and we came home to steak and corn on the cob. Yum.
I have set myself a goal of getting rid of 200 items this month to contribute to my aunts charity garage sale. So far I am at 48 items gone. Not bad for the 2nd day of the month.
Friends don't let real friends pay full price.
