Went to GT on my lunch and then to the town to pay tax bill. Then the bank. Put cash in and put on my credit card with a $150 credit. Will cover next gas fill up and some groceries.
I stopped at home quickly to check on DS. The house is nice and cool. Happy I finally broke down and put the AC on
The grass needs cutting but it is way too hot so it will have to wait.
I'm hoping DS wants to go see Toy Story 4 tonight. Will be a nice cool place to be at the movies.

DS was eyeing up the stuffed pasta in the fridge for lunch. I told him to eat something different and I would make the pasta for him for dinner.

Will see what is left from the tacos etc. Maybe I will have a taco salad for dinner to use up all the cut up veggies etc. I am away tomorrow night and youngest DS is staying over at Grandma's house
We have a free hotel room and free show at casino. And free dinner and breakfast too Will be a great night out. Will go to the LCBO and treat my guy to something fancy for the hotel room.

Tonight I will make dinner. Tidy kitchen. Continue on laundry then hit the movies if DS is interested. If not I am happy watching my Netflix show

The heat is making me feel my years (sweating it out on the sidewalk after cold buses and all the distance I covered while lugging my tote with things)! Did the Burlington trip in the late afternoon, still hot enough to put up the umbrella for shade on my walks. Glad I packed two water bottles but did get two cold pops later. Got one of two desired gift items and blew my fabric budget (not on dress fabric as what I wanted is not part of the $15/m sale apparently but over $20/m) on some sale tablecloth fabric. Looked over drapery deals for seat fabric for still used old dining chairs but did not find sturdy everyday fabric so may consider sale outdoor fabric in a pinch for colour/print. Starbucks is next door to Fabricland and I had a croissant for dinner and a rest break. Found two dimes and 30 cents in containers only to discover the downtown beer store closes at 8pm, not 9pm for the summer. Odd. Picked up On the Go and Look Local issues and found the nearby Shoppers well stocked with Coke and Pepsi contest bottles too (bought one). Won a Spotify playlist (YOur Parents Playlist-anyone who remembers the 1980s pop music knows that Tears for Fears and Lionel Richie were big that decade).

Would love to return to Burlington when it's only 24 or 25C and breezy for pics at the new Japanese garden at Itabashi Community Centre.

Given the hot week of temperatures, the beverages in the fridge are almost gone. Will see what deals are to be had at Fortinos as it's on my way home. Not feeling moved to use my shopping cart.

Had a lovely bbq with hubby, baked potatoes ,hamburger and corn on cob

I line dried 2 loads today towels are still not dry may leave out overnight
I painted my toes and nails a lovely taupe colour -that's frugal
I would love to visit my brother in the rehab hospital on Friday -we will see if hubby wants to go with me
Just cut the back lawn with our new lawnmower -it sure has the power to get up the hill -glad we paid extra to have this power driven one ,like ceil said I feel my age so an easier lawnmower is important since we have a hilly backyard -we are on the curve of our crescent street

I went to the doctors office today to explain my predicament. He ordered blood work for auto immune diseases so 15mins before the labs closed in Pitt Meadows close to my doctors office I went and surprisingly there was no one there. Considering in my town I would wait something close to 1hour before they would take my forms then another 30mins before they take my blood. 5mins is better then 90mins all together. My doctors appointment was at 12:20pm he was behind so I didn’t see him until 12:45pm.

Then I spent the remainder of my day at my uncles cleaning his apartment. I don’t like telling him what to do that’s my moms job. I get grossed out every time I am there considering this time he was burning eggs in his skillet to make an omelette. I had to tell him to turn off the stove before he removed the eggs out of the frying pan. It looked like he ate a whole carton of eggs that day there was shells all over his kitchen. I know sometimes me as an adult don’t take care of my space and how gross it seems to others. But when I started to clean up his place and was just there on Sunday. It looked way worse but now he has a fly problem not just fruit flys but other types of flys that comes out of something rotting. My mom keeps saying he seems to be depressed I said “that’s because he has no one to talk to or take him places. As he is getting older often people around him died or move away to have kids or watch their grandkids. Also he was moved out his home that all he knew from child to adulthood into a place he knew no one. Or how or which buses to take or where for him to get to. Things have become more complicated when cellphones with data started to rule our lives. He lost friends when he was forced to move but still wanted to work but was told that now he should enjoy retirement. Did we ever think to ask him what he wanted, or where he wanted to live or if he wanted to retire?” She looked at me paused and started talking then stopped then started then stopped thought about it then on our way home it came to her and said “I had to make a decision and Elaine(sister) wasn’t helping me and things weren’t going ahead fast enough and to make matters worse your dad said no to him moving in for a time until I could figure things out.” I said “yet making this life altering decision don’t you think that some where deep down it did change things or he was always like this but afraid to show it because his sister told him no he cannot do it but he still found a way to do it anyway?!?!?”

I bought some more chewable gravol from the pharmacy it was more expensive at the pharmacy I get my pills at it cost me $13 but I only had 12$ he gave it to me for $12. Of course if I go to Walmart tomorrow morning that it will be cheaper there never fails. It’s suppose to rain tomorrow it was cold enough today to do the same. I ordered these things called cart buddies on amazon where instead of using a dollar to pay for your cart you use that instead. I bought 4 of them because it was cheaper then 2. I will do a review of them on here and say if they actually really worked or not.

People keep buzzing my intercom since I been home it’s on the other side of the apartment. And I only got to take some morphine around 5pm the only time today. I was hurting just after I left my doctors to walk a country block back to the car from the doctors.

I have counselling appointment tomorrow at 12:30pm in town. I want to get more Gatorade sometime soon. Walmart probably has the better deal for 2 for $10 they did last time at least. They eliminated the small cashiers at my walmart and went with 20 self checkout near the front and 5 self checkouts near the mall and they have only have 4 cashiers near the front of the store now. It’s a shame I like using cashiers but Walmart thinks self checkouts is the wave of the future or something it’s making people less and less knowledgeable about how to give change if a
Cash Register is telling you how to. Now the only thing know how to give you the right amount of change back is the computer or vending machine like object.

TGIF!!! Another hot day here today. Looking forward to our hotel stay tonight. Will hit the pool and hot tub as soon as I get there then have a nice shower there. Nice to shower/dress in a bathroom I do not have to clean I packed my bag this morning but won't grab it till I drop DS back at home after 3pm so it isn't sitting in my hot car.

    Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

I wanted to go to Sobeys but it would be late this evening (probably out of stock by then), so did a Loblaws deal instead for PC Optimum. Posting in the brag section.

This week I sold a bag full of dill. This afternoon a lady is coming to buy red rhubarb from me.

I only have one daycare child today. It’s nice that I knew in advance this time.
