My strawberries are full of blossoms--so lovely to see after a long winter.

@Patty Smyth -if you know your friend's yard and light and shade situations, maybe you should suggest which hosta varieties would suit his plans!

So I found these tables at a junk place they were originally silver but I spray painted them black. I got 4 of them for $10 each they guy wanted $70 each. hahaha

My Cleome got pretty big and woody near the end but it put on a good show until about mid-August.

I love dragon wing begonias I have them everywhere

It was a good year for Coleus

    Lots of basil

I planted my lettuce and onions in buckets. It makes it really easy to harvest.

DH and DS made quite a large new flower bed for us last night!!
What was a girl to do but head out early this a.m. and snap up as many half-off annuals as possible to fill it up?
Oh the colours I got!! Plus my dream of having some Sunflowers happened. Those were the only items I chose that were NOT marked down yet.
DH instructed me to buy annuals ONLY to finish off the summer with because come fall he has his own layout of bulbs that are going into that bed that will hopefully thrive and return year after year!!

I hope to snap a photo when I get them all planted, that is once the sun stops beating down out there.......man it is some hot today. No complaints though.

Took a video of my garden last night, no dialogue, just a little silent tour.

My spouse passed away 21 months ago, and it still hurts. The rosebush bloomed on one of our special anniversaries, and I am taking that as a bouquet from the other side.

@Patty Smyth what can I say to that video? OMG doesn't nearly cover it. Every inch is covered with colour, hard work and blossoms!! You are one eager beaver, I was trying to imagine the work involved in maintaining a yard that size. You could fit our back yard into a tiny corner of yours and THAT exhausts me some days.
Thanks for sharing the video, loved the cat lazing on the lawn!!

I love flowers, though I don't have many on the go this summer. I have some sweet little Bachelor Buttons and the dwarf cosmos are just starting to open. Tried to post 2 pictures, but they are showing up sideways in the "preview", for some reason! *L*

A couple of pink lilies have opened up in Mom's flower bed. Almost missed noticing it except for my looks out the front windows, despite doing some weeding there a few days ago.

Update, took these last week. What a summer, from crap to crazy hot. I am going to have to change my plans for next year. Some plants just don't do well anymore in this heat. I am at a crossroads with my hydrangeas. In the past we never got torrential rains and my hydrangeas stood up well. Now we get these crazy dowpours that just are too much for the flowers to bear. My hydrangeas are all in cages but even that doesn't hold them up anymore. I may have to cut out a few. Poor things just flop over and break halfway down the stems.

Here is a link to my garden photo album on Facebook if you are interested.
