By chance, I'm looking at the GO Transit site and I discover a change effective as of May 22 for the boarding of the Hamilton QEW Express and other Hamilton origin buses from GO Hamilton-they'll load from one of four possible zones and you'll only know the platform number 5 min before departure! That will be trying for people who are not ready for the change or are lugging luggage, strollers, etc.

With Dundas Buskerfest starting today and Concession Street Fest tomorrow, there are bus detours in effect. Also affected is the Parkdale bus route for Burlington's Sound of Music (you cannot take outside food and drink into the festival, but empty water bottles are allowed for filling inside the festival).

Summer Bus News effective June 23, 2019 (this Sunday!):https://www.hamilton.ca/hsr-bus-sche...g-hsr/bus-news
The Riverdale Neighbourhood pilot on route 56-Centennial is now over.
*update June 21-most of the summer schedules are available at MacNab Terminal today but one of two of the missing ones was only found at the GO Station. I let Customer Service know to restock 25/26 and put the summer 56 ones (did not see them) out.Last edited by Ciel; Fri, Jun 21st, 2019 at 06:56 PM.

#Ancaster-a little detour begins on July 2 and continues to August 30 for 44-Rymal. Garner Rd W at ShaverRd will be closed up to Hamilton Drive for sewer work. So bus will detour up Shaver, along Wilson and down Hamilton back to Garner (EB). Reverse trip for WB rides.
HSR has the information: https://www.hamilton.ca/hsr-bus-sche...l-construction

Burlington Transit has some changes to routes and services effective on Sept 1. At the Burlington GO, the BT buses will return to the Fairview Street side of the station for loading/disembarking (seems like its been forever since the last time before the parking garage was started).

HSR's Fall Bus News brochure information is now posted online. Busing changes take effect on Sept. 1.
https://www.hamilton.ca/hsr-bus-sche...g-hsr/bus-news
Best news ever-more 10-Beeline Service hours for weeknights and now Saturdays! Hurrah!
44-Rymal will have more frequent service (this I have to see in the schedule to believe) every 20 minutes. Route will extend to Walmart on Centennial Pkwy.
18-Waterdown bus route will extend to Plains Rd from Aldershot GO station as the Burlington Transit 1X-route will no longer go into Aldershot GO as of Sept. 1.2021-Bring on the sunshine, sweets & online shopping.

I checked the ATU 107 union's Twitter account and a post yesterday indicates that the ATU union president has asked for a no-board report. So that means HSR transit will likely move towards a December strike.

Driver told me they are likely not going on a full strike to begin with. They will refuse any overtime and voluntary shifts/sick cover, take their breaks at end of routes even if bus us late etc. He said it will still have a big impact as they do not have enough drivers without overtime/cover
