Good morning!
Woke up to the first serious snowfall of the season, and wind-chill is -17.
It's our sweet son's birthday, he is 28. Where the heck did that time go?
He was born on a Monday, too - and throughout the day whilst I was in labour, there was a serious blizzard going on, so he made quite an entrance.
He is coming over after work for supper and cake.
Hoping you all have a wonderful day!Last edited by Natalka; Mon, Oct 28th, 2019 at 10:47 AM.

Cute little munchkin Happy birthday to the not-so-little boy!
Slightly stressful morning for me. After a four 1/2 hour wait in line and then another hour of searching, I finally managed to buy tickets for the Hamilton musical playing next spring in Toronto. It's all DD has talked about for three years, is seeing this bloody show. It will make a dandy Christmas gift

Oh, what a good Mommy your are, @GoJays and what an incredible gift! She'll be over the moon! I saw the blurb on TV this morning...something about a lottery system to discourage resellers? Lucky you, luckier Daughter! I wonder how she feels today knowing the tickets went on sale today and you at work....poor kiddo..well, at least for 2 more months!
The closest I came to that was when my friend and I were in line at 5am for those brand new Cabbage Patch dolls that our Daughters just HAD TO HAVE for Christmas! Fun memories..
Happy birthday to Milan, @Natalka !

@Natalka - Happy Birthday to your dear son!
@GoJays - are you up for adopting me? Ha! Big anticipated, "No," for many reasons! - too old!
@Lynn49 - I am just going to sign up for some tickets for my BrotherR and I to see John McDermott- we both love his music and he is doing a Christmas concert here to raise money for Hospice. The local Police Association Choir will be joining him.
Easy on the ears and eyes- don't know about the touch☺.
Beautiful and sunny today and pretty warm. I guess I should work finishing off the "de-summerizing" the balcony as we are heading into 2 days of rain. No matter what the "To do" list holds, other things always seem to nose their way in.
Grabbed a Timmies on the way to exercise class this morning and the sweet fellow ahead of me paid for my order. What a lovely start to a Monday!
See you later!
Can't believe your weather, @Natalka !

I'm sitting here, blinded by the sun shining in the window, with the patio door open at 17 degrees. I'm enjoying it now because I know it will not last much longer and we'll be knee deep soon enough like you are. Tomorrow they are calling for 18 with a humidex of 20. And then it goes downhill after that. Why? Oh yeah, it's Halloween.

Psshhh... it hasn't discouraged resellers one bit!! I made the mistake of going on StubHub before I found my tickets this morning and I was shocked at, not only the prices people were asking, but also the number of tickets they had!! It's disgusting. Whatever happened to ticket scalping being illegal? Not only is it not, but now sports teams promote it The sad thing is, so many people want to see this musical and people are willing to pay almost anything to see it and the resellers know it.
Twice in my life I've bought scalper tickets on the street. One time in San Diego and once in Toronto. The guy in San Diego was selling because his friends ditched him and he only wanted face value for the tickets. Fair enough, the Expos were in town and we wanted to see them. The other time we paid $100 for a pair of gold seats to a Leafs game. Yeah, you read that right - $100 for the pair, not each. It was well into the first period of the game and the seller just wanted to get rid of them. We gave him a pair of Yankees/Jays tickets in the upper deck also. We didn't tell him we got those for free from someone else

woo hoo!! @GoJays I also heard the news of the Hamilton tickets going on sale to the public, swirled that idea around in my head for exactly 30 seconds, spat it out followed by a resounding NO F*^&king way will I bother even trying to get any.
Congratulations to you!! The wait you endured to snag those!! Bravo!
I only came on here again to share this.....
Of the variety of pics from the video clip and story....THIS has to be my favourite.

It was excellent here. Good sale shopping. Good cleaning up the yard. Yummy lunch and now sitting with a glass of wine and my cats while dinner is being prepared.

A pretty darn good productive day!! I felt as if I was in remission for a day!!
I finished sewing my rug, washed all our bed pillows, bedding, 2 doggie cuddle blankets, baked cookies for our GS...wow..it's amazing what I'm capable of when I'm feeling like a normal person!!
I hope everyone had a wonderful day, too!!
Sweet dreams, everyone!!

@Lynn49 - I am so glad that you had a great day! You, too, @GoodBoy ! I had a wonderful meditation group tonight with friends.
I got a Halloween parcel ready to send off down south or at least out west, and had a good exercise program this morning. So, along with the weather, it was an all around good day. Balcony still needs attending to, but, another pleasant day predicted for tomorrow.
In the energy of Universal love, I bid you goodnight!
