... and on a lighter note, an interesting article about Noel Fielding in the UK Great British Bake-off.

The year is 2192. The British Prime Minister visits Brussels to ask for an extension of the Brexit deadline. No one remembers where this tradition originated, but every year it attracts many tourists from all over the world.

Guess the Alberta politicians who don't read the French press missed the L'Actualite article about Albertans who called into a radio show raging about how Alberta's money (from the oil industry mostly) helps Quebec to have social transfer funds to provide free health care and more to its residents. Especially as jobs in the sector have swandived and Albertans are struggling to survive.

Can us Ontarians expect a similar carbon tax to be trotted out by our Premier (as he's a Conservative too)?

So Toronto wants to pursue being a Charter City and out from under the thumb of the province (which can be problematic esp under Douche Ford!) I say lets do it!

November is a promising one for Ontarians:

Prospect of possible HSR transit strike, if next week's contract offer is not favoured by the majority.
End of month strike by teaching assistants at McMaster University (City buses, if operating, won't enter campus)
Elementary teachers' strike likely on Monday November 18

    Did I miss anything?

Saw this link on Twitter about the Ontario Curriculum for high school students.https://www.ontario.ca/page/preparin...ontent=Careers

Are any of these courses being offered as only online courses?

    https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-50496539

The Duke of York is stepping back from royal duties for the "foreseeable future" due to the Jeffrey Epstein scandal.
Prince Andrew said his links with the convicted sex offender had become a "major disruption" to the Royal Family.
In a statement, he said he deeply sympathised with Epstein's victims and "everyone who has been affected and wants some form of closure".
It comes as the duke has faced a growing backlash after a BBC interview.
Earlier, a letter written to the Times newspaper by Buckingham Palace cast doubt on when the duke first met Epstein.
The 2011 letter says they met in the early 1990s, not in 1999 as Prince Andrew said in his BBC interview.
BT also became the latest in a series of organisations to distance themselves from Prince Andrew, following the interview.
In a statement, BT said it had been working with iDEA - which helps people develop digital, business and employment skills - since 2017 but "our dealings have been with its executive directors not its patron, the Duke of York".
"In light of recent developments we are reviewing our relationship with the organisation and hope that we might be able to work further with them, in the event of a change in their patronage," a spokeswoman said.
In his interview with the BBC's Newsnight on Saturday, the duke said he met Epstein "met through his girlfriend back in 1999" - a reference to Ghislaine Maxwell, who had been a friend of Prince Andrew since she was at university.
The 2011 letter was published after the Times reported on the existence of a photo of the prince with 17-year-old Virginia Giuffre, then known as Roberts, who would later testify that she had been forced to have sex with him.
The duke has always denied any form of sexual contact or relationship with her.

Think that Prince Andrew waited too many years to address this situation-he should have stepped down from the get-go.
There's more to come-wait on the tabloids to find the proof.

Just as there have been cautions about using airports' wi-fi access in public areas, now there are warning about malware in USB charging stations https://www.thespec.com/living-story...fficials-warn/
This growing cyber threat, known as Juice Jacking, poses serious risks to smartphones, tablets and computers. In as little as one minute, a virus can be transferred to unsuspecting users' devices. Then, the virus begins exporting sensitive data and passwords directly to the scammers.Instead, use your own charging cord to plug directly into an electrical outlet, experts say.
The warning comes as a record number of travellers get ready to hit the malls to buy holiday gifts.
Here's how the scam works: A computer is concealed within the charging kiosk or on cables left plugged in that are programmed to automatically pair with smartphones when they are plugged in. The rogue computer can then freely access all the information stored on electronic devices, from passwords to emails, to address books to photos to text messages. It can even do a full backup of your phone, all of which can be accessed wirelessly by the crooks.
