Didn’t realize how time consuming making Pierogi is. I am now finished filling them. I did not get at many as the recipe said . The are in the freezer. Well I still have to cleanup the big mess in the kitchen. I will only make these again if my DDs really liked them

Oh yes @flemeth ....good thing the days of making my own are over, especially since they are a no-no on the Poon Plan.
I was just stubborn enough to prove DH wrong many many years ago when he insisted I could never make them as good as his Mom, or Aunt or someone in their Ukrainian family??
He couldn't stop bragging how good they were when we brought some down to his family.
" she made them herself! " was what he blurted out to anyone who cared....ha ha
I told him the recipe is not that complicated, it's just time consuming.

So it's Grey Cup Sunday today. It'll fill a void. I have no horse in the race, DH just wants to have the R & R of watching football and an excuse to eat badly! Bring on the appetizers!

@flemeth , my Mom would have a marathon day if pierohy making...usually around 400, lol! Of course she made the fillings, rolled the dough, cut it in strips (much easier with her arthritis instead of pinching them like before), as we placed blobs of filling on them, then she'd fold the dough over and had a magic cutter that cut and sealed the little packets of delishiousnes. We all helped, even my boyfriend, now Hubby; I think he married me for her cooking! Omgosh, her apple-pie, blueberry, as well as her cheesy potato fillings were out of this word! They'd flash-freeze then then toss them into bags....I've made them a few times, then our DD took over. Their pasta roller would work lime a charm now.
I hope everyone loves them!

@walkonby , aren't Hubbys sweethearts when we do such magical things? Hahaha! Gotta love 'em, and I can just imagine your DH bragging about your considerable kitchen talents!

I did a quick shop today, Command hooks, 2 necklaces for DD I found in Reitmans, Jenny's food, red nail polish, mascara, hairspray.....oh yes, very festive, lol! It was sunny when I left, but it's dull now.

Have you two chose sides for the Grey Cup game! I have to go with the Bombers since my parents were born in Winnipeg. Oh, and speaking of food, we have our munchies and I picked up Smartfood because I can have it, yay....ribs for dinner. Our DD is in Toronto for a conference on Monday...she went there yesterday to do some shopping, her other 2 musketeers flew in this morning.

Morning! Struggling to wake up.

Head is an issue. Pounding.

Painted a blue wine bottle yesterday afternoon. Used white paint except for the red scarf on the snowman and black hat and coal for face. Sparkle lights inside. I quite like it. Some incredible artists in our building. (Not counting myself as one.)

It's very foggy outside.

Hoping everyone is feeling "Tops". Got to get a move on to the Y-M-C-A.
