Hmmm. Lots of excitement over this SDM flyer, elsewhere...have fun, people! (Don't repost anywhere, please...send them here...lol).
Gift Card deals: 10K PCO points back by Dec 27/19 when you buy $50 of Foot Locker, H&M, Kobo, or OLG gc.
As usual, read the fine print!Want to buy me a coffee? You can! But, you don't have to! In fact, I encourage you not to. ('Cuz postage is ridiculous). But, if you insist on it...well, you can drop a buck, or two, here: paypal.me/cyn88canada I emphasize, you do NOT have to -- a coffee icon tossed my way is gold. + =

Why'd you say no to the gas card deals?

@momof3heathens
Er...I really hate the idea of paying for a discount. LOL. My bias is showing. No, really...the same deal is also on at RCSS this week, but it looks like the 5000 PCO points will award instantly. If you're interested in buying the discount card, and are near a RCSS, it may be better to buy it there.
If you hop over to this week's RCSS thread, I wrote a longish reply to why I think the Esso/Mobil Price Privileges gc is NOT a good deal. It's mainly because I think there are much better deals to be found, and also that I find "discount card" deals to be deceptive...they fool you into thinking you're saving a lot of money. But, when you factor $15 of savings over 1000L, it can be a lot less than you'd think...especially if other gas stations are cheaper. (I have a lot of options on where to buy gas).
The pic in both flyers is a $0.05/L savings card on 1000L. If this is the card...it's not worth it in overall savings when you're stuck buying Esso/Mobil.
Go on...read the RCSS thread...you know you want to...! (LOL!)
If you can afford spending $300 ish on gas gift cards, I'd keep an eye out for WagJag deals. I think there's one on now: $300 for Esso/Mobile gc, plus $0.10/L Price Privilege gc worth $60ish. Cost $310. (Drat -- just checked, it's sold out. But, it may come back!) https://www.wagjag.com/deal/esso-4417261
The difference is a $300 gc is like cash. Paying $10 for ($.10 x 600L) is a much better discount that you will use faster than the $0.05/L x 1000L.
Also, if you don't read the RCSS thread, I also mentioned that some Esso stations have FREE 2.5/L Price Priviledge savings cards. I haven't seen them myself, (I haven't looked), but others have reported seeing them. If that's the case...and you can get a free 2.5/L card...well, paying for a 5/L card is just...grrr...divide the savings in half. IMO, it's not worth it!
Cheers, hope this makes a bit of sense. I'm not the best at explaining things.Want to buy me a coffee? + =

Thanks @cyn88canada for explaining. I'm not a big fan of esso, prefer petro Canada.
