Avoiding stores today like the plague. Nothing is appealing to me, but I have been thinking of replacing my fourth generation iPad for a new one. I was surprised that the Apple store is $50 cheaper than Best Buy! Still on the fence, can get $50 for my current one in trade in value. Do I need a new one with more gb's no, do I want it.....yes! All sales come with a free year of Apple TV, which I can access via my roku. My iPad freezes up and doesn't load some current apps as my iOS is outdated.

Depending on the vendor, today is also Green Friday, Orange Friday or some variation.

Breakfast Television had someone from Weekendatthecottage.com and the tail end of segment was showing square gingerbread cookies with royal icing to print guest names and some lines to serve as cookie placecards on a table setting. So clever! Recipe here: https://weekendatthecottage.com/ging...piced-cookies/

Speaking of cookies--I re-read the M&M Food Market flyer. There is a BOGO free deal on the Culinary Parchment paper that's precut (reg. $5.99 each), that will work for cookie baking or sheet pan meals! So while sampling at the M&M open house, you can get the parchment paper too.

While reviewing the Longos and Fortinos flyers last night (only so much I can recall from memory), I noticed that a couple of deals can use coupons, provided that SCers pay attention to certain size limits stated on the coupon. The selected Kellogg's cereal $1 coupon will only work on the Raisin Bran deal at Fortinos, if a min. 425g size is bought. The store flyer indicates cereal sizes from 350-450g. So theoretically if you can find the 425g Raisin Bran, the coupon will be eligible for use only on that cereal.

The stuffed pepper soup has been my supper and breakfast meal option along with fruit (apple or banana) for the past couple of days. Felt like making a coffee cake but held off as I am feeling the pressure changes in my head and hands (aka achy!). I'll consider making the coffee cake today AFTER I have tea in the afternoon. Super delighted to have my library open for PA day today.

Next Wednesday is one-day strike day for public school secondary teachers in Ontario. I'm sure that will create some issues for students who may want to study or work on projects with friends but don't have options close to home or they have to be available to assist younger siblings to or from school. Public libraries will be bustling.

Popped out to grab something for work. Notice gas was $124.9 L at Canadian Tire. Went across the road to RCSS and topped up the tank at $110.9 L

No doctors appointment this Monday which I was hoping for but was called to be told he has acute medical issue and to phone near the end of the week. I have to go on Wednesday to pick up medication. But I am stuck with psychiatrist script on Thursday. As my case manager isn’t going to be there during that appointment. They said once a year they have to do intake I don’t know how she now has to do it twice this year. First week when I had her she was on intake and now again first week of December. I’m not impressed I wanted to call her today but I totally forgot. Hopefully something pans out with my GP and psychiatrist appointments. Christmas keeps coming up closer. Makes me feel much more unprepared then ever before. I have my sister and boyfriends presents and little of my uncle’s. I got some movies maybe Mackenzie my sister’s boyfriend’s daughter might want unopened that I got from the Disney rewards club.

Today I had a trauma counselling appointment. Always a good appointment I came home and put on pjs and got back into bed. Some place I wanted to be before I woke up. She got me thinking of some ideas that crept up and ingredients and how much they all would cost to do. I am whipped I feel so exhausted and out of it.

I had a teaching job interview today. The first one in years. I think it went very well. They will contact 3 references and let me know sometime next week. It would be a temporary, full time, teaching contract for 6 months of this school year.

SCers with Sobey's e-mails-did you also get the Bonus Black Friday gift card deals in your inbox? Did not see these yesterday but the offers are good until Dec. 3-must load the bonus AM offers onto your card:

    I got these offers
25 bonus AM for every $25 spent on Netflix gift cards (paging @SassyAshley )
25 bonus AM for every $25 spent on Sephora gift cards.

And noticed that I have personal 10 bonus AM offer if I were to spend on $25 worth of Sobeys or Foodland gift cards.

OK, I had a slow start to the morning (4am wakeup for an apple, then back to bed 40min later as sibling went to work; 7:30am wakeup due to noises Mom was making in the house): got breakfast, started laundry of my flannelette bedding and pillow, had an exchange about something Mom was to do and words about tomorrow's freezing rain forecast, packed my flyer list of specials and coupons for visit to Sobeys and maybe Fortinos on the way home. Hope to do a shopping cart stockup at Longos before suppertime. Pleased I was able to deal with the vacuuming yesterday; finished the last of the stuffed pepper soup.

I am going to see if a grocer stocks the Quaker gingerbread spice instant oatmeal just to try it and get some shredded cheese and Dr Oetker patisserie (have a coupon for each) as well. I won't use the 5x AM Sobeys coupon today as I have no interest in taking a cart all the way to big box land. Maybe next week after the snow event passes and while we have bus service, I'll load the cart and take the bus.

Pity I did not make tea this morning--the leaden sky is just irritating to look at right now.

Oh, two local shopping plazas had a hydro outage yesterday as I walked home and I noticed the traffic lights outage went really far down the road so I suspect Cdn Tire and Walmart might have been affected too, not just Fortinos and Food Basics, Shoppers and two gas stations.

Well was up at 4.00 a.m this morning again and I wish I could fall back asleep instead I feel like a zombie now at 1.00 p.m

So I went and got gas and shopped at sobeys spent $113 (65 airmiles)and saved 8.09 in coupons plus 1.60 from checkout51 plus I went to do a scop on an item and head cashier told me it changed in all the stores so all I saved was 1.70 off my Rubbermaid container -ahh life it only pertains to the shelf labels now not the sale signage or so they say

Stopped and got hubby an extra large mcdonalds coffee $1.00-wow that is such a huge cup of coffee .

So I may not put my tree up today ,well see

yes, @Ciel I also received those Sephora and Netflix AM offers. I had just gotten back home from buying a $25.00 Sobeys GC to earn 10 BAM from my loaded digital offers, when I saw this newer offer in my inbox. The Sephora one I might do for DD, but will pass on Netflix.
