Good afternoon fellow Canucks!
It was a great trip to Las Vegas. It seems like we packed a week's worth of fun in just three days. First of all, Derringer, Johnny and Ryan were all super nice. Same with the Q107 staff that came along (there were about 26-28 of us in total). The people that I met were also super nice and we hung out in small groups here and there.
The flight was good. It was about a 5 hour flight. When we landed, it was raining and it stayed raining all day and most of the night. Who would have thought that it rains in the middle of a desert? Also the temperature was cool there, almost the same as it was here between 0 a 6C.
We had a small bus that took us all to the hotel, the Park MGM (formerly the Monte Carlo). For an early dinner we ate at the food court at the Hotel called Eataly. I think one of those just opened up in Toronto recently. After that we saw Derringer, Ryan, Garbutt, some Q winners around a horse racing game at the casino, so my wife and I joined them. It was fun, but I didn't win anything. We hung out together in the casino before parting ways.
On the first night we were there, my wife and I went to the Mirage Hotel to see the Cirque du Soleil "Love" the one with The Beatles songs. What a great time that was. I was tapping my toes for throughout! Derringer and his wife also saw that show and they were pretty impressed.
On Friday, my wife and I went to The Linq, where we went on the tallest Ferris Wheel, and did a little bit of shopping. There was definitely a lot of walking too! Friday night my wife and I went across the street from our hotel and had dinner at The Outback. At 7:30 we went to the Park Theater, located at our hotel, to see the Aerosmith concert. The venue held about 5,000 people and we had some pretty good seats. We were all seated in two rows in our section. The concert was excellent and they played most of the songs that you would expect. They missed a few songs that some of us wanted to hear, but the set list was decent enough. On "Dream On", Steve Tyler was almost able to belt out that one note. He got close though. But for a 71 year old guy I would give him a pass. Those of you who are friends with me on FB, I posted some videos on my wall.
On Saturday, a small group of us went downtown to Freemont street to see the old school casinos, take a picture with a million dollars and some of us went zip lining along Freemont Street. My wife and I didn't. She wasn't interested, and I thought I was too fat that the line might break, then I would bowl over some unsuspecting tourists below like a wrecking ball. We tried to see the Neon Museum and we took public transit to a sketchy part of town. It turned out that we did not have advanced tickets and that we would have to wait 2 hours in that part of town. No thanks.
We all met back at the Park MGM at about 9:00 pm where the shuttle bus took us to the airport. Our flight left at 11:15 pm and we arrived just before 6:00 am Toronto time.
Well folks, that is our story. Have a great day!

Prince of Darkness
It's Ozzy Osbourne's birthday!
John Michael "Ozzy" Osbourne is an English singer, songwriter, actor and reality television star who rose to prominence during the 1970s as the lead vocalist of the heavy metal band Black Sabbath, during which he adopted the nickname "The Prince of Darkness". Osbourne was fired from the band in 1979 due to alcohol and drug problems, but went on to have a successful solo career, releasing eleven studio albums, the first seven of which were all awarded multi-platinum certifications in the United States. Osbourne has since reunited with Black Sabbath on several occasions. He rejoined the band in 1997 and helped record the group's final studio album 13 before they embarked on a farewell tour which culminated in a final performance in their home city, Birmingham, England, in February 2017. His longevity and success have earned him the informal title of "Godfather of Heavy Metal".

Good morning fellow Canucks!
Well, after our little snow storm, my car is in the shop getting new snow tires, rims and sensors. This will cost over $1700.00.
Oh well, the story of my life... a day late and a dollar short.
Have a terrific Tuesday folks!

Raptors lost too to Miami, 121-110 in OT. It was the 1st game back for Lowry. Maybe he should have taken the game off & waited till they were back on the road.
