Remember when we had the ice storm in 2013? I had bought 2 chickens for my mom, around $3 each. Then our power went out and I remember her being so worried about those plump, cheap chickens going to waste! Fortunately I was able to put them in someone else's freezer and they were saved!

I am a bit " giddy ".......overjoyed and thrilled too.
Online I had been searching for a Chia pet thing. I wanted the Bob Ross one but the prices were ridiculous, many of the sellers not offering Free shipping on orders over $35.00
Also I was a little Johnny come lately getting some more Amaryllis kits ( bulb with soil/pot ) started, we only had the 3 from last year, and DH wanted a few more. I did search when i was out and about on different days to no avail.
The boxed kits were sold out everywhere I had looked ( CT, Lowes, WM, ) OR they only had a few of the Paper White ones, and priced at nearly $10.00.
So, this morning I made my way to a small Home Hardware out Ajax way, and snagged FOUR Amaryllis kits at just $5.00 apiece. Each one a different variety of flower AND lo and behold they had ONE lonely Chia Pet kit for just $20.00....it's no Bob Ross but just as funny and pretty large. It's the guy from Duck Dynasty, so it's the beard that grows the grassy hair!
Simple gag gifts...I love 'em!

Schneiders bacon at Fortinos was 6.99 a package with 2000 PCO on each pack and the buy 2 get 1 free coupons was beside the display. I also had the PCO personal offer for bacon. Bought 6 packages spent 28. And earned 16000. It was the thick cut 500 gram packages.
Friends don't let real friends pay full price.

Like the bacon, Fortinos also has 700g Schneiders Ham on sale for $6.99 with 2,000 PCO points for each.
I bought 9, using 3 x B2G1 FREE coupons and earning 9 x 2,000 points. It worked out to $2.66 for each 700g ham. (These regularly sell for $12.99 each.)

Fortinos also has their large 1 kg Farmer's Market fruit pies on sale for $5.99 with a bonus 1,000 PCO points each.
I had a digital points offer of 800 points for every $4.00 spent on Farmer's Market sweet pies.
Since you can choose from pre-baked or unbaked pies, I stocked up on the unbaked cherry pies and apple pies. These are great since you can keep them in the freezer and bake them whenever you need them.
After factoring in the points values, my pies worked out to $3.79 each . . . an amazing deal, especially with the holidays coming up!

At RCSS:
Franco American canned gravy is $ .68 with an in-store bonus 250 PCO points.
I had a digital offer of 200 points for every $1.00 spent on Franco American canned gravy.
I stocked up for both family use and donations.
For each can, it works out to $ .68 - $ .25 (in-store points value) - $ .13 (digital points value on $ .68) = $ .30 per can

Thanks to those who shared, after I posted this brag a while back, that you could get 5 x $5.00 Kellogg's pre-paid Visa cards from one receipt!
I did receive all 5 Visa cards but they are a bit of a nuisance to use. Since each card is pre-loaded with $5.00, any time you want to use one, you have to ensure that you are at or below $5.00 when you swipe the card. If your total purchase is over $5.00 and you swipe the card, it will be declined since you've gone over the limit loaded onto the card. You can pay the amount over $5.00 first by cash and then swipe your card for the remaining $5.00 owing.
That was too much of a hassle so, today, I went to Walmart and purchased 5 x $5.00 Walmart gift cards in 5 separate transactions. Now I can spend the gift cards at Walmart in any way I want, individually or in combination, for a total of $25.00. Plus there is no expiry date on gift cards. So much better than trying to figure out the best way to spend the Kellogg's $5.00 pre-paid Visa cards!Last edited by lotsasavings; Fri, Dec 13th, 2019 at 09:12 PM.
