I don't know how any type of a second hand store can be open? I mean the Thrift stores. Ours is closed temporarily due to the lock down.

I have a birthday coupon from Value Village that expires by month's end. My feeling is that I probably won't be able to use it in January as the daily reports of case counts rise in Ontario and there are murmurs of extending the Ontario lockdown.

About the only thrift store action might be online auctions for selected items open to bids. YMMV.

Still keeping Value Village and Talize for now. I'm am cutting down on notifications to make life easier in 2021 for now.

Alberta's Goodwill stores are open with limits and thrift stores in some BC area are too!! Same as any other store - distance, sanitize ,masks!! Picked up a pair of near new Bob's wedge sandals for $.99 was super pleased with that!!

Ontario just announced that a second state of emergency will take effect on Jan. 14 until Feb. 10. So no thrift store action for another month (bye-bye coupon deal). I expect anyone still posting on Facebook Marketplace or Kijiji could get some sales.
