This was posted directed towards me in January of 2017. I have not been at my goal weight since the fall of 2017. I’m still dealing with specialists and they haven’t been able to provide me with answers regarding my chronic pain. I am happy with my recent progress, but I’m struggling to reach a work/family life balance during this crazy time.

I’m a teacher. I’m enjoying my break until Tuesday, then I need to start prepping and get ready for my students to return on January 4th. I’m still experiencing chronic pain. I’m trying a new medication, but no improvement yet. My weight is stable, but I know that I’m eating too much comfort food. It’s been a hard year for many people.

Good News - We have cut out about 90% of our Take-Out
Bad News - At times I am moved to working remotely which means I get almost no movement in a day. From July to October I was working in our Production Office and was on my feet half the day, then I moved to training people so again on my feet moving around. But I live in Ontario which is now in Lockdown so I am pretty sure when we go back in January I will be moved to remote and not allowed to enter the branches as per our company's pandemic policy.
Now I need to find a way to get movement or a workout into my day. We have discussed moving our Air Walker to the Living Room and I would totally get up each morning and spend 15 to 30 minutes "walking" before work but we need to do some major cleaning/re organizing before this will happen. So I may need a plan B for the time being.
Hoping Ontario's Lockdown does not get extended and come February I can be back in the branches which really helps my movement in a day2022 is going to be my year, the year I find organization in my life and the year I focus on myself,

I’ve been teaching cyber school full time since September. I certainly understand not being as active as usual. It’s been a steep learning curve and it’s not over yet.

I've put on about 25 lbs this past year. I expected to put on some weight from quitting smoking last Feb but I'm now at my highest weight ever. In order to cut down on food costs and to lose some of the excess poundage, we're going to try cooking from scratch more. I've come across a couple of articles that say it's a good way of losing weight.
I ordered myself an aerogarden (6 pod for $119.99) with an amazon gift card I rec'd from my parents. I'm not much of an herb person but I love lettuce greens. I'm hoping it will save us money and provide us with a nice burst of green during the winter months. Our DD loves theirs.
I'm hoping to establish an indoor exercise routine in the New year using an old step, yoga mat, weights and exercise band. I might re load the Spark people app I used to use. It's free and it was a good way to track calories, food and exercise.

Good Day everyone!! I am back at it! Started walking everyday this week. Just did my shop so I can make my lunches/snacks for work this week. My schedule right now is 1 week in the office 2 weeks at home. So making and bringing a lunch the week I am in the office is helpful.
So my meal plan for the next 2 days is:
Breakfast- smoothie- Frozen fruit/almond milk/protein powder
Lunch- Salad with veggies/boiled egg
Snack- Greek yogurt/raw almonds/fresh raspberries/blueberries
Dinner- Chicken breast and veggies
Having small meals and snacks to keep blood sugar stable is what seems to work for me and I have been bad for not eating for long periods so I need to get back at it. I already feel better/stronger with the walking I did this past week (and the fresh air since I took advantage of the sunshine and walked by the water.

I am the same, I can go long periods of time not eating. It is not unheard of for me to miss Breakfast and Lunch and only eat dinner but when I do this that day I am okay but the next day I feel horrible yet still repeat the pattern. I find it is worse when my anxiety is acting because I get so focused on what is setting off my anxiety it isn't that I forget to eat I just physically cannot.
I am super excited went shopping and have a lot of options for Breakfast and Lunches I am excited about which hopefully will push me not to miss these meals.
Still struggling to get up and move more when I am working from home. We have been so busy and I have been struggling with a headache so I had not ambition to get up and move but it is a new week and a new start and hopefully this week is better.2022 is going to be my year, the year I find organization in my life and the year I focus on myself,

You need to breathe enough fresh air. If it is not possible to fully engage in sports, you need to do exercises daily. Moreover, it is advisable to work out all muscle groups at least a little.

I'm getting out for walks in our neighbourhood but my dog does not like walking in the snow so I'm not walking enough. Recently I have gone for a couple of walks in ourTown Parks and realized that they completely clear the paved pathways which works perfect my dog and it's much safer for me. I'm going to try to go to a local park each day this week. I remember someone saying that if you do something 21 days in a row, it becomes a habit.

My dog is a terrible walker and always wants to go back home. So I don't take her.
Our main park/lake is usually closed to traffic in the winter but they decided to plow the main road through this year so people can use it which is nice! The walking path is not cleared but skidoos have made good paths for us to walk
