Thanks @walkonby . I'm really looking forward to garden fresh lettuce. It's pretty easy, add water and put in the pods. Feed every 2 weeks with liquid plant food and change water every 4 weeks. The lights go on automatically each day and run for 15 hours. Im going to try mixed greens next.

Here's the aerogarden website that shows various models and explains how they work. Canadian tire and Amazon.ca sell their products in Canada as well as other vendors. I purchased mine on sale for $120 (reg $200) from Amazon. It's a 6 pod

14 days since I started my aerogarden. It's so easy to use..the add plant food light was flashing today. What a simple way to garden.

I've picked up supplies for using my own seeds next time. I was surprised to find that aerogarden have a seed starter insert as well.

One more week or so until we try the romaine.

I am attempting and excited for growing this year! I did it years ago and just didn't really follow thru!!
Last year I grew hot peppers (And I don't even like them!!) and the one I grew in a pot was huge! I gave the peppers away and they said they were great and really hot!

So figure since WFH will have more time this year and will encourage me to keep at it!

I have my seeds/soil and pots ready! I picked up 1000 free pots last summer! Plus I have many that I have kept over the years. The best is the long trough style I got for free at the side of the road. I have read that they will work great for lettuce and I am hoping spinach.

    I can't wait to start

very cool Frugalbigmama! I had fun with my outdoor containers/gardens last year but wasn't pleased with my spinach yield, it kept bolting way too quickly. I'm going to get a few seeds ordered soon. I want to try to grow some small cucumbers (bush type) for baby dills....I'm saving up my Catelli Mason jars

I'm loving my indoor gardens. I expanded out to passive Kratzy gardening this week.

@crafter Are you letting one head of romaine lettuce to bolt per crop in order to make it go to seed?

That's a great idea @Ciel . I currently have seeds for several types of lettuces and greens but a good idea once I get low. I just started a Pak Choy in the bottom garden which has already sprouted. I'm going to move my romaine out like I did with the greens, I just have to find some more socks to cover the jars.

Everything has sprouted. It's time to split the peppers and tomatoes and move them to Kratky jars. Keeping my fingers crossed.
I will let the herbs grow a bit more and then moving them to jars as well to make room for new seedlings. Starting some chard, kale and mixed greens
