I have posted in the last couple of weeks about the savings I've gotten on Flashfood. I gather from the feedback, not all stores are created equal. Mine seems to be very good. I recently got 3 large whole dressed steelhead trout for $3 each. Friday, I got 3 whole dressed coho salmon, ranging 1.2 to 2kg for $2 each!! Today I purchased a bag of PC green beans, large bag of pc fresh vegtable medley, a bag of PC ready veggies, and a Dole sesame & ginger bag of salad...$9 for all. A score when it comes to fresh produce!

I'm in Edm, too. Do you mind saying in which RCSS you are finding such fish treasures? Those sound like great discoveries.

Get the app on your cellphone and see everything around you (stores)... they show you everyday differents products in each store... can be No Frills, Loblaws or Rcss.

Thanks, but I do not own a cell phone. If the store is within my vicinity, I plan to walk to it and make arrangements with Customer Service.

Flashfood is a hit or miss for me.Sometimes they have, fruits and veggie box for 5$(never purchased these) (rare) yogurt,(it is rare) meat(sometime) and cakes .In qc we have iga and metro who are food hero I used it time for muffins.

It really depends in witch time of the day you are on the app.

i, too, find the fruit and veggies boxes for $5 is pricey when most of the time they are bananas, potatoes and onions and they don't even fill the boxes to the top,

Weigh the contents. That is the only standard that matters, IMHO. Unless you get over 10lb of fruit or vegetables in the $5 box, you can likely do better with price-matching regular items (and they are not near their expiration date.) To me, fruit/veggie boxes are never worth the effort. If you take a hard calculated look at it, you can do better.
