When I saw the words Gay Lea Butter Clearance, I got very excited thinking it was the 454 gram sizes of butter that were marked down that low.
Sales on butter are few and far between, often with limits of 4 pounds per family.
I bought a few of the Gay Lea Sea Salt butter a few weeks ago when I saw them on sale at No Frills and there was also a checkout 51 discount on them. It will be interesting to see if the product lasts---I can't imagine people paying $6.99 for half a pound of butter unless they didn't pass math. My guess is we will see that butter heavily discounted frequently, if it is continued to be offered. As for the yard waste bags, wow! Wish I could run into that sale! Congrats, Shwa Girl.

Any Edmontonians needing butter can get Centsibles brand for $2.99 at The Grocery People, until Nov 14. I don't know if any other store will allow price-matching, since it is a specific brand.

An entire farm-raised Atlantic salmon for $2.80 / lb at RCSS. There were two, and I was tempted to snatch them both, but I just don't have the freezer space.

It was TRULY my lucky day!
Went into Value Village this morning with a short list of items I was hoping to find.
Within 10 minutes I had 4 sturdy ( identical ) black kitchen chairs @$9.99 each ) loaded into 2 carts, a few kitchen items, 2 freaking adorable Christmas onesie's ( Moose with hoods! ) for DD and I to wear on Christmas Eve, and a 2 piece ensemble for moi to wear ( total OOP under $15.00 ) for the dinner on the 25th.
One of the kitchen items was $7.99 and perfect for the batch of Empanadas I was planning on making up today and freezing.
ALL the pieces were in the box along with the colourful instruction booklet.

Then there was the $2.99 box of 4 silicone loaf pans ( small! ) which is exactly the size I wanted to use for baked gifts.
Also @$3.99 for a muffin pan ( Makes 12 minis ), will also be used for baked gifts.
A new Betty Crocker silicone spoon rest with metal stand ( $1.99 )

It took me longer to wait in line at the checkout to pay for my bounty than it did to search and toss them into the carts......lol!

They cannot send anyone out to help me load because of covid, so I ever so carefully made my way out to the lot. On the way there a lovely family asked if I needed help! i accepted.
Then another woman walking by asked me how much the chairs were and when I told her she said
" see? they let solid wood chairs go for that and the clothing they charge way too much for! "

I really wanted to say, " well....not if you wanted an adult onsie! , they were only $6.99 each! "

    Happy , Happy Joy Joy!

I found cheaper Covid tests for our upcoming trip to Hawaii-and free ones there for coming home. Saved myself a couple of hundred bucks per person. For anyone travelling to the US some Canadians are getting the return tests free at Walgreens.

@walkonby great finds @ value village. They sent me a 30% off digital coupon that can be used up to 3 times and expires on Sunday. Sign up for their club member; it's free.
