Well the Dog Park was soo much fun...Izzy is so pooped out she is now sound asleep right here under my desk!!! I met some really nice people there too, their dogs are the same age and we just laughed at the amount of destruction 3 8month old puppies can do!!! I did get some good tips that should help!!!
Wednesdays Scoreboard
Hey guys!!! I'm one proud Mom!! My Daughter just called (her daily call) and guess what????
She got a position writing for the Carlton University Radio Station!!! What a score that goes on her transcripts...Now she has a couple things related to her dream, she wrote, edited and did onair work for Rogers. Dang I am SO PROUD!!!!!!!
Oh no....I just opened the bottom drawer of my desk....I forgot I had hidden a few, well alot of packs of skittles from halloween.....Darn the diet is done for today......I need my rainbow of flavor!!!
NO ONE and I mean NO ONE makes them better than my mother.
My favourites are the Sauerkraut and mushroom variety. The secret is to make them one day and then fry them up with bacon chips and bacon fat the next day until they have a golden brown crust and dip them in sour cream. Honestly, one of the great treats of growing up in a Polish family.
Try them done up this way some time or ask Norm to make them for you with this recipe.. They may be a little rich, but boy, are they ever good!
Can never eat more than dozen of them and then it's time for a nap.
UM,Um Good.
Cheers
Now I'm hungry again and I just had dinner.. Tomorrow night we are definitly having pierogi !!
I love them with bacon, the only problem is I can't stop eating them until I feel like I'm going to burst!!
What was the name of the little breaded "meat on a stick"?? I love them too!!!!!
I used to be able to get them in Oshawa but the store closed..... I have to find them again...I tried to make them once but they were missing something....
Believe its called patychky, "meat on a stick". The patychky translates to stick...
Z-man don't forget about the potato pancakes, where the bacon fat (salo) and onions are fried in a cast iron frypan which is placed in the centre of the table for dipping... ah the good old days where everything wasn't good for you....but who knew..
