Bet you a beer on the outcome of that first game in Montreal

Pretty bold prediction on the "playoffless season" though. Guess that we will just have to wait and see what happens.

As a matter of fact, habs why don't we have the same bet for each game they play against each other and we can meet up and collect at the end of the regular season.

I have one basic rule as a gambler, never bet on your team! I am a Habs, Pittsburgh Steelers and Blue Jays fan, and I will never bet on them in any way, monetary or not! Just a superstition, but a hard rule I have always followed. Though I did make one bet, as it was meaningless to me, with a fellow blogger here, and that was if our team loses, we would put up an avatar that embarassed our team! I won, so it did not happen to me! If you want to do that, I am in! I lose, you pick the avatar of your chose, denigrating my Habs and vise versa? U in? Also as a diabetic, I rarely drink, save for water!

They were posted no where else, just a pattern they were using this week for codes, that I followed and guessed with! Just like I did on New Years Day!

I am in on your proposal. I also do not bet except for friendly wagers such as this. I can`t even buy a lottery ticket in this province because of where I work.

Forgot to mention that I am a Green Bay Packers fan and have been since they won Super Bowl 1 on January 15, 1967 35-10 against the Kansas City Chiefs.
I am as you can probably tell I am a Leafs fan and have been since watching them since 1957 on our old 10" screen RCA Victor BW TV at 8:30 on Saturday night following Don Messer's Jubilee with Marg Osbourne at 8:00 pm from Halifax.
I even remember them winning the Stanley Cup in 1967. Those were the good old days! Only problem, that was 45 years ago !!!
We do share one common ground, however, that being we are both Blue Jay Fans.
I was at World Series games in 1992 and 1993, but that too was 20 years ago. This has been a long drought for me to see another Championship come to Toronto in any major sport.
Hope that I am around to see another

I too was @ all those games. Had seasons tickets for both the Blue Jays & the Argos for about 15 years each, & was @ most of the Leaf games throughout the 60's & early 71's.
I miss that. Hoping this year the Jays will be our heros again.
