Toronto @ Atlanta Thursday Sept 17th
Marco Estrada (12 - 8) ERA 3.31 VS Matt Wisler (5 - 7) ERA 5.60
In case you missed it, Yankees don't play again until Friday, Sept 18th when they visit the NY Mets on the Mets turf for three games.
That should be a terrific series that could ultimately determine the final standings in the AL East.
Mets are 8 - 2 in their last 10 games. Yankees are 4 - 6 in their last 10 games.
A sweep by the Mets could shut the door on any chances the Yankees have in winning the AL East.
All Toronto has to do is win this final game against Atlanta and sweep Boston in the next three games.
That would make the Jays magic number 8 with the next three games being against the Yankees.
That could be another 6 game swing and put the Jays on the verge of clinching the AL East, let alone what that would do to the overall AL standings depending on what KC does in their next 6 games. Currently KC is 3 - 7 in their last 10 games. Looks positive for the Jays for the next week.
Let's hope that they can keep up their end of the bargain and win a few games.
Personally, I believe they can!!!!
Isn't speculation wonderful!!!
This upcoming weekend will tell a lot of tales and will certainly be important for the futures of both the Jays and the Yankees in the 2015 AL season. Well enough of the rhetoric, Let's get down to playing the game tonight and let's see what happens!!
This is exciting meaningful baseball in September!! Haven't seen it in 22 years and couldn't be more excited!!!!
GO JAYS GO!!!
I will continue with my 3 inning updates for the balance of this game!!
Hope you don't mind.
