[I think you just have to say no. When i was younger raising my children my mom did daycare and i paid her as i thought
it unfair for her to just watch my kids for nothing.
Afer two years i quit my job and became a stay at home mom
Being a grandparent myself now I understand what u r saying
I do not watch my grandchildren but i sympathize with u
I think you do just have to say no
You raised your children and now its your time to relax and enjoy your freetime
Tell them to find a sitter and you will be available to help out sometimes
QUOTE=zfurman;6470515]Cheer extra hard for me KAWAM since I cannot be there. GO JAYS GO !!!!!!!!
Being a grandfather has its limitations when you end up being a baby-sitter for the week, again!!!
I thought that being retired would give me some free time with myself and my wife, but it seems that all we do is take care of our grandchildren.
I know that we never imposed on our parents to do this, but I guess the new attitude is that since we no longer work, we are free game to assume the parenting responsibility for them to save them money.
This has to stop so that we can resume our normal lives and do what we want to without being shackled to our children's problems.
Pardon my rant, but this is becoming a huge issue in my lifestyle.

Sure wish this Detroit KC game would end so I could go to sleep.
Currently tied KC 3 - Detroit 3 in the 11th
KC scored a run in the 12th inning to make it 4 - 3
Detroit tied it and with the bases loaded Machado hit a single to left to score Davis in walk off fashion.
Final Score Detroit 5 - KC 4
Toronto is now only 1 game back of KC for the overall AL lead.

I wonder what the scalpers are getting for tickets?
I sure like the momentum, positive energy & determination that has us all infused with Blue Jay fever.
