What did John Gibbons, say about the atmosphere in the dugout when Russell Martin hit the three-run homer?
The dugout erupted.

I hope that R.A. Dickey has his Knuckle ball working tonight to get a win for the Jays.
Here is a summary of how the Blue Jays have matched so far this season.
Series starting April 13th Tampa at Toronto - 1 win 3 losses for Toronto
Series starting April 24th Toronto at Tampa - 0 win 3 losses for Toronto
Series starting June 22nd Toronto at Tampa - 2 wins 1 loss for Toronto
Series starting July 17th Tampa at Toronto - 2 wins 1 loss for Toronto
Before tonight's game Toronto is 5 - 8 against Tampa Bay, but it must be pointed out that they were 1 - 6 against them in the first two series of the year.
They have won both 3 game series against them in the last two series by 2 -1.
There is definite hope for them to continue that trend in the current series.

Just completed a quick recap of the 2015 schedule with Tampa Bay for tonight's starting pitchers
Odorizzi is 1 - 1 against the Jays in 2015
Dickey is 0 - 3 against Tampa this year.
All the Dickey losses came in April and June before the trading deadline changes that the Jays made.
Should be an interesting game.
If any of you are interested in the summary I have prepared, just let me know and I will post it.Last edited by zfurman; Fri, Sep 25th, 2015 at 06:29 PM.

Final Score tonight Toronto 5 - Tampa Bay 3
Huge win for the Jays tonight
Magic number down to 7 and with Chicago currently beating the Yankees 5-2 in the 9th it could be be down to 6
Dickey started off slowly but with the big bats coming to the fore with Donaldson, Pillar and Bautista homering, it put this game out of range.
Toronto is currently 1.50 games out of the AL overall lead, but KC is losing to Cleveland 5-0 in the 7th inning.
If Cleveland wins this game, Toronto could be only 1 game out of the overall lead in the AL LeagueLast edited by zfurman; Sat, Sep 26th, 2015 at 09:04 AM.

I am so happy that the Boston Red Sox are playing so well in the last weeks of the season.
They could conceivably knock the Yankees out of this race.
That would be a huge bonus to the Jays.
Yankees are currently 4 games behind behind the Jays in the AL East after the games played today.
