It was just announced on the FAN590 that MLB has announced that Jays have clinched a position in the post season playoffs at least as a wild card

I believe it has to do with the fact that they have the first tie breaker against all other teams in the hunt since they have winning records against all of them

Time will only tell if this is true.

Doesn't really matter since the team goal is to first win the division then the AL league race.
