Hmmmm!!!! My prediction is that the Cubs will prevail.

They just seem to be a team of destiny this year.

Hockey Night in Canada tonight? Anyone going to watch? It is in my plans. Here we go again. Apologies, but I have to post my Leafs & Habs poem. Our house will have one solid Habs supporter & then me I just have to hold out a bit of hope for the dear of Leafs.

Habs and Leafs, and Leafs and Habs, I love how sports fans get in their jabs,
For fan euphoria is up for grabs & do you think they study rivalry is hockey labs?
It is my friends a Canadian tradition & a true fan is always armed with verbal ammunition,
We love hockey dreams to come to fruition, & we may even feel sad for the opposition,
Let's see what happens & who gets to gloat,
As all sports fans know the time when to just rock the boat,
If you love to live hockey by being a player in your very own backyard,
You can tell us the stories of how you have starred!
The Montreal Forum, once the home for some nasty concussions,
Even Maple Leaf Gardens belongs in some victorious discussions,
While the fans are still full of the most sage ideas & advice,
For there were no ads graffiti-d’ all over the boards & ice,
The Habs & Leafs will continue their oppositional rivalry with gusto & flair,

Not to be unexpected , but the positive of this game is that the game was tied at 1 - 1 until 12:02 of the third period when Alex Galchenyuk scored to make it 2 - 1

The third Mntreal goal was an empty netter @ 19:29 and was a nothing goal in my mind.

Leafs showed well tonight against one of the better teams in the NHL this year.

Remember that this year was going to be a year of "pain" according to Mike Babcock. Well it has just started that way, but I personally think that it will be a year that ends up better than expected.

i agree the third montreal goal was a 'gimme'.
we've been through many episodes of 'painful rebuilding' with no happy endings. we'll see how things go the next couple of years. hopefully, this newest 'rebuilding' phase will produce some good results.
