I hope the Jays keep both guys. They need Edwin & Jose for their talent & abilities, but also for motivation & leadership. This team needs to remain on top..... I hope the new administration is one we can all be pleased with. (Still really sad about Price)

The Jays made an extra $50 million from the playoffs alone. There's the extra revenue from all the sell out games also. They can afford it. We don't have to worry about it for another year. It's this year we have to worry about.

I don't have much hope for the Jays to improve on what they have now, which is a playoff team good enough for wildcard position but not to take first place again. Rogers hired Shapiro for one reason and one reason only and that is Shapiro is a penny pincher who was able to keep the Cleveland Indians afloat. When he was named executive of the year it was during a time the Central division was at its weakest so the Indians were able to take advantage of that. As for Atkins he hasn't a clue what to do. He will get his cues from Shapiro. I don't think Shapiro knows what to do with a s**t load of money if Rogers is willing to open the purse strings.
