Well, on the lower left, there r 3 symbols - a circle, which is green when a member is on the thread; the centre symbol which looks like a cloud, but is actually scales; you click on this when u want to give someone reputation - usually only good stuff, but not always. As ur reputation grows, u earn stars, & eventually hearts. I just got my 1st heart yesterday for 750,000 positive rep comments. Finally, the 3rd symbol, the red triangle with the exclamation point. U use this to report someone.

Hopefully, that's a start & helps. For all rules, etc. go to the very 1st page of the thread.

I too am a novice, but know you can hit that little ( looks like a cloud ) between the green light and the yield sign. What this does as far as rewards or points, I have know idea but I do know it is a good thing. We will have to turn to the vets on the thread to explain how all this works, candies and ratings etc.

as u post, u earn "candies" u can use candy to buy other members gifts. If u look under the "total Candies" line on some of ours, you'll c some of the gifts we've received. Just hold ur curser over the gift 2 see the message that was sent with it. To buy a gift, just click on ur candies (u don't have enough yet) but Maggie does.

As an aside, it is expected that if someone helps u, either on the thread by posting codes, or personally answers a question, u rep them. It's a way to say thanks.

You need to get to "candyland" & if u can't find it, just click on one of the gifts under anyone's names, it should take u to candyland.
It gives u a list & the cost, then u choose to whom u want 2 send it & what u want 2 say. Good luck.
