    Tire was new (all were) in July, 2010.
    You have no idea how scary that was. At 1st I thought the engine blew, the sound & the smell.
    I was in the far left lane doing about 130 (don't tell anyone) & instantly the speed dropped to 90.
    There's no shoulder on the left, so I had to move over 4 lanes 2 get to get out of traffic. NOT an easy task.
    But, I'm ok, kept control of the car & no accidents 2 tie things up for hours.
