My LD Stacking Trip

I tried stacking at LD a couple of weeks ago with the Neutrogena Healthy Skin Rejuvenator (using the $10 printed and mfg $3) and was successful. I had printed off a copy of the email from LD Head Office on their Coupon Stacking Policy.

So, yesterday I went with my spreadsheet, coupons stacked and copy of WM for PM re cottonnelle.

My total was $66.00 before the coupons and they also wouldn't let me PM the Cottonnelle as they had phoned over to the nearest WM earlier and they were out so LD wouldn't honour the PM. I just left it. I wasn't paying $8.99. I had already purchased 2 earlier in the week at WM and used $1 off for each. Has anyone ever heard of LD phoning the PM store to see if they are out?

Anyway, after all the other coupons were deducted, I had to pay $23.84 which included taxes of $3.17. I saved $42.75 of coupons. I know I've still got a long way to go to be as good as the other SC's but it's addictive and I'll be back again and more prepared. I'd never been able to do this if it wasn't for this site and the great SC's willing to share their expertise.

Good try! You still saved a LOT! Mine doesn't call over but I have heard of stores doing this so that they can not PM. Try again another day and just keep stacking them... Good luck!

I've heard that some stores will call the store you are PM-ing to check if they have stock. If no stock, then no PM. Also, someone told me I could only PM one of each item...so even if they had stock for the cottonelle, I would only be able to PM one package at that price to stack.

The LD I went to last time didn't phone the other stores to check if there is stock..so I guess I lucked out!

i think that is actually the proper way to do it (calling in to make sure the store has stock). but a lot of cashiers/cs won't do it, coz it takes too long.

yesterday i went to PM the cottonelle and the CS said he had to call, and he did...except it took forever for WM to answer and the store manager walked by and the CS asked if he was supposed to call to check stock. and manager just asked what i was pm-ing and how many and told the CS to give it to me.
i went back today to PM another 2, and it was a different CS. she let it go w/o calling, though she did cut out the cottonelle ad from my WM flyer!!! (thank goodness i have an extra).

my dad went to the same LD as kaimui22 yesterday and was denied PM b/c they called and WM had no stock.

also some CS will only allow you to PM one item, though I've never had any trouble PM-ing multiples of the same item. My dad was only able to PM 1 pack of cottonelle at another LD.

so really depends on who helps you (if they are lazy/nice or not lol).

I had a CS girl try that one on me too. I went an emailed HO and they do not say anything about that. Plus I went back to the store and spoke to the Manager and he said as long as I wasn't getting something crazy like 300 of them then it was fine! I just got the dumb/rude employee:rant:

I was denied by the cs the first LD for the same reason too:evil:, later I went to another LD the cs told me I can PM one item only, but fortunately, the WM flyer shows 2 different color cottonelles ,so I end up buying 2(1 blue & 1 purple)for $1.97 each after coupons, and my hubby bought the same, together we have four.:lolsign:

if you get the regular wm flyer, it shows all 3 colors, so you could get 3!!!

Great deals! I have not been 'brave 'enough to PM but if the weather lets up before my coupons expire, I may try at London Drugs! I hope they allow it at mine!
