So many very old threads are being bumped up by spammers posting in them, then one sees the thread and doesn't look at the date, and others post - I did this myself yesterday on a thread - Duh to me for not noticing the year!

Can threads be closed, rather than expired, so they can't be added to?

there are no old threads in this forum Natalka, I expired them all

but spammers will bump whatever thread, locking old ones doesn't make a difference. once the spam is removed the post is gone and the thread goes back to whatever page it came from.
