You need to plan the next swap for when I'm in town. ;) I'm leaving next Friday for 10 days (London and Paris this time), but will be back on the 25th!

It is sad to hear that the policies in LD are changing. I do enjoy great deals. On my short sprint of stacking I do however still have around.
4 Greenworks and 4 Tide Laundry detergents
3 Downy Liquid Detergent
3 conditioner and 5 shampoos of pantene
tons of razors for both men and women
toothpaste, a whole bunch of cleaning supplies, toilet paper, bounty towels, soap, lots of covergirl makeup. In fact I didn't even use all my coupons. I would say I am good for quite awhile.
I was going to get the campbells chunky soup.. I wonder if I can still get it or not I have three different buy 3 save a $1? My local LD is beddington.
Wow you guys are a chatty bunch today! Just read through 4 pages! I haven't stacked since the last brandsaver flyer came out, so I wouldn't know if anything has changed. Hoping to do a small trip soon though so i will let you know how it goes.
Hello All......just a word of caution if you are considering stacking at Beddington LD.
They are not stacking friendly at all now!! Once again it is dependant on the cashier..For the past 2 times this week, I have run into problems.
Today the Beddington manager Colleen walked up and said that if the cpn said not to be combined, only one offer per purchase, or any of the disclaimers they would not allow stacking!! Basicallly ever cpn says that.........and I was not happy as I had only 6 items to buy.
I complained that this is my local store, as I live just down the road, and would prefer to bring my business to there, but she is now cutting out all the stacking and I will have to go elsewhere........and that store is now going to lose a lot of business.
Ironically my favourite supervisor seeems to just ignore that bit of info from her manager... and ran in all my sales a few days ago......lol! So confusing!!
Today I left my 6 items, asked for my cpns back and walked out of Beddington Store.
Yesterday I did a lot of stacking at Royal Oak, with not a problem at all, saved around $175 in cpns.......I was told that there were going to be changed implimented in a months time for the price matching and that we have a month to get used to the new changes. Have no idea if this will also be affecting the wording on the cpns. No one there reads the cpns in the past 2 occasions I have stacked there.
The assistant manager said some stackers ring in over $600 in one go...thats a lot of stacks to do in one transaction!! No wonder they are getting unhappy.
All the rumours, and uncertainty makes me nervous, I have just gotten into the swing of things.
Ack - I have just read all of this. Like Monkey, I haven't stacked since the last brandsaver. Hoping this continues, but am lucky that the main products I stack for are the P&G ones (Pampers, Cascade, Bounty, Charmin). Better start stockpiling again :P
Red Plum is in this morning's Calgary Herald!
Sadly no Redplums over here! I guess to keep fingers crossed the come in the sun
I think Herald has started putting the coupons on thursday paper. I subscribe to them, but last week I did not get any coupons as i had stopped delivery until sat, and nothing in sat paper, and today also it came in thurs paper! Anyone else notice that??
Hi everybody, thought I should introduce myself in this (fabulous) thread... my name is Sarah, live in Calgary and am on mat leave with my 11 month old baby. Thus the need for couponing! Have been couponing for a while now but only just discovered SC a couple months ago. Until then, I thought I was the only one looking forward all week to Thursdays (flyer day)!!!
Thanks for all your posts and amazing advice!
I went to the Huntington RCSS and bought the quaker and tropicana, went to CS and asked for the form and sure enough they didnt have any so she just handed over the $25 gift card woot woot, saves me alot of trouble!!
I also got some nail polish, the cheap Sally Hansen and the $2.99 revlon, I was able to my frist SCOP on 3 of them because they scanned in at full price, as apposed to the price on the shelf!!!! Might be worth it to check it out yourselves.
I didnt have a very good shoppin trip there though the cashier had to get the supervisor to over ride all my coupons and it was taking FOREVER, I probably stood in line for at least 15 minutes while the line grew behind me, people were huffing and rolling their eyes. I became really embarrassed, I got really hot, my cheeks turned red, I felt sick all because these people were looking at me like I was an idiot and I was wasting their time. I dont find any shame in couponing but when things like this happen I just want to cry and tell them all where to go. Really i dont care because I just walked out of that store with 5 bags full of free product and the others are paying full price bwahhh ahahah The cashiers were super nice so that made the whole ordeal a little bit bareable.
Sorry I just had to get that off my chest!

Did you just go today?
I asked at Customer service and they handed me a photocopied page for the rebate. I asked if it was an original form and they said yes(?) I assume that it is not!! Can anyone tell me if their MIR for quaker is on an 81/2 x 11 paper or is it more of a "coupon-size" paper? I don't think it will be accepted, just want to check - thanks.
the rebate form is closer to a 5X7 size
Hey everyone, just like last week, I recieved a box containing Enfamil A+ and coupons. I think somebody is trying to be funny and is sending me baby stuff. This one was left on my front porch... Would anybody like this stuff as well seeing as how I wont use it. Like last week, whomever asks for it first, is the person that will recieve it. I also met a fellow SC'er yesterday at london drugs, first time that I met anybody at a store and she was super nice. Just started coupon stcaking, so I am also sad, but havent been at it long enough to be disenheartened, especially when the people at London Drugs have been so wonderful in the past when I shoped there. Thats the biggest difference to me; cashiers that are helpful and friendly and appreciate your business, and ones that make you feel like your stealing when you use coupons. So thanks to the lovely people at London Drugs in Heritage for never making me feel like a criminal. :lolsign:
same here. they gave me just the printed form, said that this is how they receive it on the internet! I am not sure :(
on a side note, I did find a great deal on juice & snack (might be ending today, coupon good until 8th).
there is a coupon zone coupon for buy any 2 rice krisipe, nutrigrain & one more(can't remember) cereal box ) and get any minute maid 10x juice box free. cereal boxes are 1.98 each, there are coupons for rice krispie & nutrigrain (which I didn't ofcourse have!) ; so it's like u get 2 boxes of cereal + 1 juice box for $4 - coupons...great for kids snacks and picnics...coupon expires on Apr 8th.
On the depressed side, walk back to the car just to find that somebody hit my car and broke the light frame! DH won't be happy :(
Was out of touch for almost a week due to a computer virus :( and after reading all the posts on LD changing their stacking policy I emailed LD to ask how this was going to work now. They responded within the hour (VERY impressed!!!) with this response.
Dear Tracy, <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
Thank you for contacting us with your inquiry regarding our coupon/price matching policy.<o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
I have attached our coupon policy for your review. We still allow coupon stacking as long as the manufacturer coupon does not state otherwise on the back of the coupon. Our policy in regards to price matching has not changed. We are only obligated to price match one product and any more than that must be at managements decision. <o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
Thank you again and if you require any further clarification please do not hesitate to contact us again.<o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
Sincerely, <o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
Kathy <o:p></o:p>
London Drugs Limited
This is the attached coupon policy she sent:
London Drugs Coupon Policy <o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
The following coupons may be accepted at London Drugs: <o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
• Manufacturer’s standard coupons <o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
• Manufacturer’s coupons exclusive to London Drugs <o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
• London Drugs issued coupons <o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
Number of coupons accepted: <o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
· More than one coupon may be accepted for a product, if each coupon comes from a different media source and has different UPC codes. The different media sources may include coupons from a newspaper, magazine, internet (maximum of $3 & only one accepted per visit), bottle caps or in-store manufacturer’s exclusive coupons. <o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
· Upon redemption of a manufacturer’s coupon, applicable taxes apply to the full selling price of the item. Upon redemption of retail issued coupon, applicable taxes apply to the net amount of the item. <o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
· If the coupon states taxes included, the manufacturer is meaning, taxes are included in the value of the coupon. Therefore, the customer is still responsible for paying the taxes on the product.<o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
Coupon Acceptance; the following requirements have to be met:<o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
• Expiry date has not been exceeded <o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
• Redeemable in <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /><st1:country-region w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Canada</st1:place></st1:country-region><o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
• The product named on the coupon has been purchased. <o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
• The size and/or flavor of the item, as stated on the coupon, have been purchased.<o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
· The required number of items has been purchased. <o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
· In regards to buy 1 get 1 free, coupons can be used on the item being purchased but coupons can not be used on the free item. <o:p></o:p>
· If a coupon states it cannot be used or combined with any other coupon offer, then that coupon cannot be used with other coupons. <o:p></o:p>
· Only one coupon per purchase. This means only one of this exact type of coupons can be used. (multiple coupons can be used as long as they are all different)<o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
Any coupons you print off your computer, are considered internet coupons and only one will be accepted.<o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
Price Matching Policy <o:p></o:p>
It is required that the retailer be within the market area, have a flyer with the pertinent information from the competitor, must be the exact item (model # etc) the retailer must have stock available of the product. A call will be made to verify stock. We are only required to price match one item at that price, anything over that is at the discretion of Management. We do not price match prescriptions, one hour photo finishing and internet pricing. <o:p></o:p>
So from a quick read through we can still stack BUT if the coupon states "cannot be combined with any other coupon offer" then it cannot be stacked. So read your coupons carefully before stacking. Just remember this is the manufacturer putting a stop to THEIR coupons being stacked and not LD putting a stop to stacking coupons.
Hope this helps alleviates a little bit of the gloomies on here ;)
Question on the Quacker rebate at RCSS... I got my FPC's from the first promo and was thinking of using them (5 of them) for this promo but not sure if it will work or not. Any thoughts??? I guess all they could do was say no.... still won't be any money out of my pocket.
