Then perhaps you could let your friend know that the angle has to different as the community is slightly different. I don't think anyone is trying to offend you or your friend. I have several friends in media too, locally and internationally. Stories start with angles. it's just a fact. It's not necessarily bad but if a reporter has a theory or a story to sell its just important that the people involved are all clear about how they intend to portray the people being interviewed and you did suggest a direct link to show. Editing is a marvelous thing ;) I have been edited to infer that I was crying for my recently deceased mother when I strictly avoided doing so because it was so personal and so soon after she died- but it played that way because it was a better story. They added breaks as though i couldn't continue. I didn't give them the emotional break down so they created it. Anyway nothing to do with your friends or their company but you must realise why people can be cautious about media and how their image or story may be used. you can't blame people for being cautious.

Quick question... I'm just starting on coupons, etc. I don't get the free paper the one with all the flyers in it, I think my friend that lives in Chapparal gets hers on Fridays. Does anyone know a number or link/website that I can sign up for the delivery? Or which newspaper company it is?

No Im in Sundance my friend lives in Chapparal I think she gets hers on Fridays. And everyone on my street... nothing everyday. So I'm lost on the whole free newspaper delivery for my area.

Coupon Swap

I would be interested in the friday morning coupon swap. I recently came across more Save $1 when you buy 2 Knorr products. They expire April 30th and would wish them be used rather than wasted. Time to sort my coupon bag. Hope we can get a group.

My wish is refills for the lysol no-hand dispenser. Got the starter kit and wish to keep using. The kids love it. Really great for DH business too. Not sure if there is current coupons for the refills.:rolleyes:

We get the free paper but there aren't any coupons in it and i'm in an older neighbourhood.

Hello all I just came from london drugs royal oak and stacking is done I was told by the manager it is over as I was turned down on all my stacks. and left empty handed he told me it was most likly due to the lady who went on CTV drawing media attention to this. well thats it an end to a good thing. If anyone on here is considering doing an interview for any media source I would ask you not to. Coupons keep my family functioning and loseing stack will now involve some creative budgeting for us.

Just got back from Brentwood LD...she let me stack no problem but I was warned it was the last time I would be able to price match more than one of an item.

Oh shoot! I just checked my receipt and I got charged for an extra Old Spice Body Wash @$5.99 (I price-matched and stacked to get 4 @ $0.49 each). I guess I've learned my lesson and will be carefully checking my receipts before I leave the store.

I'm confused :icon_scratch: LD just emailed me their 2011 coupon policy and stacking was not elliminated. What coupons were you using? Did they state you couldn't use with any other coupon offer?

What CTV story was he referring to?

I was using brandsaver coupons not the ones that say more then one manufacture coupn prohibited. I'm not sure as I didn't see the CTV new thing but my friend did and he said a lady went to london drugs with a camra crew and showed how she stacked she stacked about two hundred dollars I guess any way I'm also e-mailing there head office.

Would you happen to have a link to that? I did a google search and a search on ctv.ca and could see nothing of the sort. There are a few youtube videos, but nothing else.

So it was a Global News story, not a CTV story. That's what confused me. :)

Anyway, the story ran March 11 - a month ago - and they have a VP from London Drugs quoted online saying they support it as one of the services they offer their customers.

Honestly, I don't think P&G marketers are so naive that they haven't known of this policy for years. I'm going to wait and see on this one!

If you fear the invasion of privacy, do as I do, and leave your Bluebin on your property not in the alley, as once placed there... it is free game. Along with all your garbage. Calgary has no laws against it.

Even the police search these areas without search warrants (they even replace your garbage man at times) as the street and alley are public proberty, and bins tell loads about those living in the homes...
