and ill note to stay clear from royal oak until they hear from head office
Hello,
I'm new to this forum and to couponing. I've gotten really into it and I love to read how you all have gotten some awesome deals.
My husband just called me to tell me that Staples (Marketmall) has White Swan 8 roll paper towels on for $2.79 (I think, they were 2 something). We have two puppies and are going through a lot so this was a great deal for us (no coupons needed). Didn't see it advertised in the flyer or anything so I'm not sure what is up, if it's just the store.
I look forward to getting to meet fellow couponers! This forum is full of information! I swear a could sit here and read about coupons all day:embarassed:.
ETA: I guess marketmall staple is sold out. Wonder if you can find them at other staples?
The funny thing is i called RO walmart and they said they had the new coupon policy in effect that allows for the coupon overage to be applied to the cart. I take in the policy with me and then ask to speak to the center manager not the front end manager... the center managers know about the policy and the front ends don't... not sure why but in almost every case i have to call for a CM to get the policy to be effective. I cashier profiled at Marlborough yesterday and ended up with a newbie too... he called a CM and the coupons all got put thru. I got full credit for all coupons. i got the oil of olay cleanser cloths (3pack) crest toothpaste oil of olay lotion with shay butter, satin care (gilette) shaving cream, StIves facial scrubb and nivia all for free. I am going to make up a hospital kit for the next time someone in the family is in.
I'm hoping to find a Chariot Carrier, preferably Cougar or such x-country model. Anyone know where I can find a deal or sale? I keep checking kijiji but the good ones are gone within a hour of posting or are the much older models and they're asking too much anyway.
Wish there were coupons on these things!
I bought the fixed wheel jogging stroller (brand is "inline" I think) currently at costco, $200. It sucks. Plan on returning it. Takes corners about as good as a shopping cart. lol.
Or can you recommend a really good jogging/running stroller?
k.
I have been searching for the Shick Hydro blast coupons and can't find them anywhere, does anyone know for sure which stores currently have the tear pad up????
I LOOOOOOOVE my Chariot!!! I've actually bought and sold a couple already to upgrade from an old old one to a single now back to a double newer one. Chariot is the BEST jogging stroller on the market hands down!! Any chariot user will tell you the same thing. This is probably the best all weather option too, because the cabin can be totally closed up. I use it in the winter too, it handles snow so great and keeps the wind off the kiddies.
Bonus...it's handmade in Calgary! (I love buying local!)
From my experience, You have to be quick on any ad you see. You might want to post a want add. I bought my double cougar in the fall, anticipating the need for it this spring, and it was easy to get then...but the one I bought last spring...took 3 weeks of checking kijiji every minute and emailing every ad to finally get one. Post a want ad too. And be ready to pay the ask price. You will be able to re-sell it in a few years and get more than your money's worth out of it.
www.chariotcarriers.com is their website

Thanks Sydney and AKE!
PS do either of your beloved joggers have the fixed wheel or pivoting wheel? And do you love them enough to buy new at retail?
:) Thanks!
K.
I have a Bob Dualie and you can change it from a pivoting wheel to a fixed one by moving a little switch on it. I paid retail- I have a 3 yr old, a 23 month old and a 6 month old and we've had it just over a year so it's had LOTS of use. I like it too because you can actually sit two more children in the foot area if you have to which has come in handy a few times.
When we were buying it I really liked the chariot for it's weather protection and that you could make it a bike caddy but we needed a stroller that could fold down to store.
I have the fixed jogging wheel. And recently got the pivoting stroller wheels..with my new double one, though I haven't used them yet. I mostly use my chariot around my neighborhood or behind the bike, so I haven't seen the need for the strolling wheels, but I am excited to have them for the zoo etc.
Yes I would pay full retail price for a chariot. I tell my friends that they hold their value like a Honda. you'll be able to sell it for a fair price. Keep trying Kijiji though for a bit eventually you'll get one.
As for the previous comment from SydneyV about it folding down... it is large when it folds down, I'm sure regular joggers fold down smaller. But all the wheels store inside it and the double would fit in the trunk of my CAR. so it is do-able. And it weighs less than my tandem mall stroller i'm sure! Chariot's website has all the measurements. You can also buy a storage bag for it, which helps for storing it.
Went to Brentwood LD on my lunch break today...found some good deals:
Advil Nighttime 20s on sale for $7.99 stacked 2 x$4 off = FREE
Sensodyne toothpaste on sale for $3.79 stacked 4 x$1 off = FREE
Swiffer wet refills (12s) PM to Safeway $3.99 stacked $1.50+$1 = $1.49
I also asked about the PM policy and he said they will PM the first one of each item (different than what I was told last week, which was 1 PM total for the whole transaction).
