It seems like everytime I go to London Drugs they ask that we not come in on certain days. The first time was don't come in on Friday's when they have a flyer out. So last weekend I went in on Saturday instead of Friday but was told not to come in on Saturdays, then today I went in and was told they don't want us coming in on Fridays, Saturdays or Sundays because they are too busy during Christmas and they don't have enough staff.
Of course I'm more than willing to comply with whatever they want but I just wonder what's next.
Of course this is for coupon stacking.RLF Honey Bunches of Oats $1.00

I had a similar problem with a flyer person. I didn't get flyers for months. All of December 2010 I didn't get one flyer. I called and emailed over and over, and over. I literally emailed every week for months. I finally got really angry and told them I was going to go the the retailers and tell them that they are wasting their money for flyer delivery, these people are getting paid and not doing anything for it blah blah...I was ranting to be honest. Anyways, after that email I got a response from a manager at the flyer force. She said basically the area manager is a contractor and the delivery people are not actual employees of flyer force, and therefore they can't do much about it. Once I had her number I complained to her every week. I had complained so many times that she just gave me the name of the area manager and phone number and told me to call him directly (I was probably getting very annoying) as he/she is in charge of hiring/firing. I called him every week, over and over. He must have gotten really sick of me calling because they got rid of that delivery person and got a new one. So the point is be a pest....

Ha! I THOUGHT I WAS being a pest till I just read your post! I only emailed once a month! Has your service improved? Mine has SLIGHTLY. The flyers are coming on Saturdays or Sundays now (at least they are coming). And they've made it to the bottom of my stairs (which is a step up from in my flower garden, in the mud, rain and snow - but still not under the protection of my porch! - Again, at least they are coming!) I don't have time to complain every week, or I probably would too!
So, I guess bottom line is...nobody REALLY cares if WE get our flyers, b/c everyone is getting paid regardless of the kind of job they do! You better believe when my ds is old enough he WILL deliver your flyers on time and on your step (or in your mail box) out of the rain. Because I don't think that our kids learn how to work if they aren't held accountable to these little things of respect even in these 'insignificant' jobs like delivering flyers.

Honestly delivering the flyers is a lot harder than everyone things. It may seem like its an easy job for everyone who is just waiting for their flyers to come. But think about, some of those flyers are really heavy especially when stores decides to do a special deals or something. They can weigh close to 2-3 pounds each, sometimes even more, and I know most of the routes are close to 100 houses each. And if your deliver person is by themself, yes they will just throw because it cuts the time that they have to stay out. And yes the flyer force does not pay enough to endure the weather that the deliver person have to go through in order to deliver your flyers. Even if the weather is pouring rain or blowing snow they still have to come and deliver your flyers.
I know alot of the people who does deliver the flyers and they get called out so many times that they are stupid to be throwing the flyers and such, they have been yelled at, scream at. People are so mean to those who are trying to get a little money, and trying to do there best in deliver the flyers.
Seriously, if you have a really hard time accepting that your flyers are being thrown or whatever reason it is. Just go to the store and get one. Tell the flyer force that you dont want to get the flyers anymore.

I complain to Flyer force when i don't get my flyers. I didn't get a single one all last week- I totally missed out on the Black Friday Deals! I've offered to deliver the papers on my route a number of times but they always go with some young kids instead so they get no sympathy from me!

Hey All Calgary couponers. CalgaryMom123 ishaving her baby next week. She is having a scheduled C-section. However, they have fallen on some hard times. Her DH cut his hand badly a few weeks ago they had no income, and when he was finally cleared to return to work, he dislocated a disc in his back and will likely be off a further few months. He is the sole income in the home. Because she is having a section, and her DH is now again incapacitated, she, of course, is terrified about what will happen in the next few months.
She will likely be embarrassed about this post, and for that I am sorry. But I hate to see an SC'er in trouble.
So Calgary SC'ers. Can we help her out? In this case, coupons don't really help. Nieither she or her DH are really mobile.
I know that she has been a great trader for me, and an great online resource for alot of us.
She likely needs meals, not coupons. So if you have extra of anthing in you freezer....Last edited by schwarzie; Sat, Dec 3rd, 2011 at 01:41 AM.

She might be a little embarrassed but I am glad she be happy that she has a friend who has the guts to reach out for help when needed. Most of us don't! I might have some packed crackers and other food items, or I be willing to shop for her and pass on the goodies. Where does she live? Do you want to collect everything for her and pass on, or how do you want to do it?

If anyone wants to help, it is probably best just to reach out to her and offer. She is in Castleridge. I am deep in the SE so for most of you, it is probably easier just to find out if she needs anything. She told me that she has been cooking as much as she can and freezing it, but this latest hit with her DH has really hit hard. She won't be able to drive for 6 weeks and he can barely walk apparently. She goes for her section next Monday (the 12th).

I just wanted to send a HUGE thank you and shout out to Minouchefreedom!! She and I were cyber chatting and somehow it came up that my family (in particular my Father) help out a Colombian family who emigrated here just over a year ago. They speak limited English, which is where my Father comes in, as he speaks fluent Spanish. Anyway, it is a single mother with four kids, the oldest in his late 20's/early 30's who is both severly hearing impaired and unable to speak, and the youngest is 2 years old. I have been doing what I can with my couponing for the family, but we are only able to do so much.
As a result of our cyber conversations, Minouche has become an incredible angel for this family, and is donating bags of clothing, supplies that I didn't have, and foodstuffs that I didn't have.
Thank you so much Minouche, as I have told you, your generosity is well-received and will not ever be forgotten.
