I was in Westbrook Safeway yesterday and they had tear pads for $1.00 off when you buy 2 dozen eggs( expiry Oct 19 I believe)-hopefully you can find some. As well at Westhills Superstore they had $1.00 off any box of Rice Krispies and I think the small boxes are $1.99 this week at Shoppers Drug Mart.

It was nice to see the coupons out so early this month! That was a full 2 weeks earlier then our norm.
I have been doing some checking.... one of the save on foods was hiring cashiers 2 weeks ago so anytime in the next while they will be opening!!!

Cheap hot dogs! I was just at Strathcona Sobeys and they had packages of Burns hot dogs marked down to 3 for .99 as they expire on Sept 25!

RCSS has Kraft philadelphia cooking creme and cream cheese (250g) for $2.47 each. And with the Superstore $17 booklet, u can get cooking creme for less than $1 each, the cpn in booklet is for $3 off 2 cooking creme (herb & garlic or original ?) I tried the herb & garlic cooking creme, they are delish !
And for the creme cheese, cpn zn has Buy 2 Kraft participating products, save $2 , so u can get the creme cheese for $1.47 each, not too shabby.Last edited by Mission; Thu, Sep 26th, 2013 at 02:27 AM.

I noticed today in the Herald that Safeway will have their 2 litre cartons of milk on for $2 each again tomorrow on 10% Tuesday if you are spending 35 or more. So $1.80 for 2 litres of milk( including chocolate I think) is quite good-even 2.00 is cheaper than usual.

I noticed a deal in Safeway yesterday-if you bought 4 packs of Triscuit brown rice crackers for $10( which yesterday was only $9.00 as it was 10% Tues) you automatically got a pack of Best Buy cheese up to 6.99 in value for free. So naturally I looked for the biggest pack of cheese( 546 grams). So for 9 dollars I got the 4 boxes of crackers and the pack of cheese which didn't seem bad. My kids( and 2 friends) actually wolfed down a box of the sweet potato and caramelized onion flavour. I imagine the deal will still be good today and tomorrow.

Superstore workers were on strike, crazy line up as some of the management staffs have to work as cashiers and not knowing the normal procedures, they have to ask for every single code and how to enter cpn...etc. Yesterday I went to edgemont RCSS and got a "My Little Pony" castle playset (clearance from last year Christmas) original price $29.24, on sale for $15.44, scan out to be the original price, so SCOP, ends up paying $5.44 for it. Merry Christmas to DD ! The only bad thing was I lined up for over half an hour for cashier and didn't check the receipt until I got home (can't wait to get outta there) and have to drive all the way back. They were so busy that they didn't even do price check nor remove the sign. So it might still be there. Now I don't know if this goes on for every store, but if u do shop there, watch your price.
I DO feel for the workers but I didn't find out the strike details until I had my cart full. At the beginning I thought they were the voting campaigns guys. I had to say though yesterday most of the items were @ very good prices that I haven't seen for a long time plus lots of cpns left. Nevertheless, I know from experience, with situations like this, the workers will get what they deserve in the end. Let's keep our fingers crossed.Last edited by Mission; Tue, Oct 8th, 2013 at 11:39 PM.
