Sorry you went throught this, there are so many pervs out there its a good thing you keep your eyes open and your children close. My dd has had a man sneak into neighbors yard and watch my granddaughters playing when she noticed him she called the police, they didn't find him but it allerted the neighborhood. Again I am glad everything is OK just wish creeper had been caught.
ugh, mission, so sorry to hear you and your girls went through something like this - how scary! It is a good reminder for us all to keep our eyes open and not get too distracted in the stores when we're there with our kids.
Edit - I was just thinking some more about this, and even though you can't provide a description to police, mission, I wonder if the store could pull their surveillance video of the guy? Maybe you can call the police (their non-emergency line at 266-1234) to let them know what happened, and what time, and they could contact Walmart to follow up and see if they can get the tape showing this guy stalking you in the store.
OMG mission!!! That's so disturbing! I'm glad everything worked out alright. I went through something like that at sunridge mall. There was a guy sitting on a bench near the escaltors, and DD was running ahead of me (as usual) while I pushed DS in the stroller, well she caught this guys eye, and he could not take his eyes off of her. I noticed it instantly and it raised my Mama radar the moment I saw it. I went straight to SDM (the closest store) and told the cashier that I didn't like the way this guy was watching my DD and asked if she could alert mall security.
Mission, you need to tell the Walmart manager about this. If he is lurking around the store on a regular basis...they need to know! They should be able to go back on their video footage to find him.Quote:

Mission. I don't know what I would have done I would have been so scared and outraged that he might hurt my daughter. After thinking about it I think the customer service idea would have been a good one walmart is totally wired for video and if did feel scared enough to call the police if he had approached your daughter security could have kept a camera on him so his face could be released to the media. There are always cautions on the news with descriptions but a picture would have been great if you felt threatened enough to go that far with a police report. I would not have the guts to take one myself for he might attack you there in the store and you were right to stay in a busy area and not go home what if he had followed you home. Yes! It depends what cashier you get. I always go to Customer Service, even If I'm not price matching. Less hassles that way. One supervisor even TOLD me about their stacking program, (before I could whip out my bundle of coupons)! If they have what you need and it's close...I'd still go there!Quote:

I agree with going to Walmart customer service so they can keep an eye out if he's lurking around again. But I have had some issues with this particular walmart before. I am just worried if I go to the management now instead of last night right away. They would think I am trying to stir things up or cause trouble.
As far as going to the police, I know the police cannot and will not do anything because the guy didn't really do anything criminally. Unless he lays hand on my kid or threaten us, or entice my daughter in any way, the police cannot arrest him, or put out warning or post his picture or even question him.
I am very torn here, because if I don't do anything, and if he is really "the bad guy" and not just my imagination, what if someone else gets hurt ?!
I really need to think about it more.

I just called walmart and try to get in touch with my one and only trusted manager Steve and he wasn't there.
Then I called the police and they said nothing they could do as of now, but if for the next time I see him again (I hope not), I should call the police right away and inform the customer service.
DH has been telling me all along that the police won't do anything. They would rather send a police officer to give out more traffic tickets than to patrol walmart area, let alone pull the video tape.
And he also said for walmart, they probably clear the tape every day or the camera was only there for show. :shrug:
at least you have tried everything you can mission. Hopefully you can get ahold of Steve at Walmart so he can at least be on the lookout for this guy. So sorry you are having to worry about this :(
Eek...awful situation. Glad to hear that everyone is alright. If you go back to that WM and see him again, make sure to tell the staff.
On a brighter note (thank god for cpn :cheesygrin:) : I found some new cpns at RCSS for perfect stacking opportunity, here are some examples ----

Also, I found schneider Grill'em sausage on for $3.99 and in store cpn $0.75, not a bad deal.
Hey guys, I have a HUGE favor to ask. Did any of you guys get one of those scratch and win cards at the stampede for westjet, that you aren't planning on using?
