OK, I just got back from physio which is right across the street from the Safeway.

When I went in on Monday the "Buy 5 Get 50" on 200g blue boxes of No-Name Mac & Cheese (@ $0.59 each) was still on and the alert card clearly labelled that specific product.

As I wandered through I notice they have a big apology notice saying they had labelled the wrong product and meant the 12 x 200g flats. The old alert cards have been replaced with ones now saying 12 x 200g (even though the cards are still next to the shelf of individual boxes instead of the shelf of flats).

Safeway now produces a hand-bill showing the weekly eligible products. It does indicate 200g boxes and not 12 x 200 g flats.

I intend to take this up with Safeway to see if they'll honour the error. I only bought 5 which I threw in the the food bank bin.

As I said in the first post when you run across these unusual offers it's best to confirm it with staff first.

Hope no one got bitten bad.
