To get the maximum bang for the bux, I convert the bux to Esso points through points.com then exchange the Esso points to HBC points through essoextra.com

Here is what you get for converting 368 bux through points.com

368 bux will convert to 500 Esso points through points.com
368 bux will convert to 14761 HBC points through points.com

If you convert 500 Esso points through essoextra.com, you will get 25000 HBC points.

Thought this conversion could be useful for some Smart Canucks. One more conversion would get you 69% more HBC points, at least it works best for me

Interesting point you got there. Yes in fact for the people who want HBC points, that would be a great way. In my case I prefer to leave them to esso points since it gets you a free car wash for every 3 surveys or so. I find that HBC prizes one redeems is way to expansive for the amount of points.

Absolutely worth it to get the Esso Extra card even if you use it just for converting points, 69% more HBC points .

If you do fuel up, get the Speedpass, another 500 bonus Esso Points on first use, that's 25,000 HBC points .

I've done some swaps from hotspex bux into esso points, and the swaps were completed within 24 hours, but last Thursday I did 2 swaps, and they're still sitting at "pending"

Is anyone else experiencing this delay?

I convert mine into Futura and take the cold hard cash... That is a great tip though! I will have to post about that when I delve into the topic on my blog! I will make sure to give you the credit for the info!!!

I forget what I trade my hotspex for,... I know sometimes its futura but I forget the main one...

I transfer alot of rewards programs using points.com


A side note.... I have a club sobeys card and my points automatically go to my aeroplan card.

I think I transfer my hbc into airmiles... or something like that... havent dont it in the last month.

I was converting to Futura but quit hotspex when I quit collecting for futura. I requested a payout over eight months ago and am still waiting. I converted all our Esso points as well so I'm feeling pretty ripped off. I'd think twice about converting to futura, at least with esso or hbc you know you can redeem whenever you want without getting the runaround. I think futura spent all our money and very few of us are ever going to see it again.
