I was actually thinking of starting this same thread! I think most things have already been covered, you can get a deal on almost anything if you buy at the right time.

    wowww Lucky daughter!!
but its true, books are so so expensive!
on one hand I love supporting authors and supporting the arts, but on the otherhand, a second hand store will have a book for less than 1/10 of the price =/ not to mention the library (although sometimes the waitlist is kind of crazy)
with Wagjag(http://www.wagjag.com/?wid=b6d767d2f8ed5d21a44b0e5886680cb9), I've saved @ Umbra store, Windsor Arms Hotel (Afternoon Tea), Fairmont Royal York Hotel Library Bar, Wanda's Pie in the Sky, Hero Burgers, Menchies Frozen Yogurt, AND Curves Fitness! YOU CAN TOO!

For sure, and it takes so long to get through a tin anyway that they last forever.

Damn, I get very few coupons on groceries.
Sometimes at rcss/walmart there are 2/$4 type sales on bread.

I have seen coupons for Villagio bread and Dempsters. We have McGavins Bread Outlets here and sometimes you can get fantastic deals on it. I just paid 1.39 a loaf for Villagio 100% Whole Wheat last week so I bought 10 loaves.

I wrote to Bayer regarding Diabetic test strips because they are soo expensive and they told me that they are government regulated and they could not help, so every week or 2 Safeway has test strips on for about $10 less usually different brands so I buy 100 of them and get the machine for free. I am getting a collection of meters but that is the only way I can save money on those. I wish we could get deals on medications because I spend more on medications per month that I do on anything else. Anyone have other ideas how to save money on meds or supplies??

Other than Milk I rarely pay full price for anything.

A more interesting thread for me would be items you never buy without a coupon

I actually should have named the thread Things You Should Never Buy Without a Coupon!! That's more what I had in mind. Or things you can get for FREE or NEARLY FREE with coupons- then we know what coupons to hang onto or stock up on.

ie: Satin Care, Febreze, Windex, Glade Candles, etc.

    coupons for bread:
    Dempsters
    D'Italiano
    Weight watchers
Also in my town there's a Weston Bakery that has sales 3 times a week for "leftovers" expiring soon. You can get 2/$1.70 (everything: bread, buns, pitta bread).
I always go there like twice a month, fill the freezer.

There is very little you really have to pay full price for if you watch the flyers and buy ahead of time. I'm with Patty-Also I don't pay full price for
    Yogurt
    Tea
    Coffee

There's an in-store coupon for Country Harvest bread for $0.75 right now. I had a bunch of them, and Provigo has the bread on sale this week, so I bought each loaf for about 1.60.
