Does anyone know if SDM lets you use coupons on the clearance items? I tried to use one at Boadway and Taylor SDM and she said no she couldn't take it?

Broadway and Taylor has taken coupons on clearance items but some of the cashiers just are not very happy to take coupons. I have a "note to self"- don't use coupons there, chances are things will end up not great.
