Hi fellow Saskatchewanians (expanded based on feedback to be Sask)

Welcome one and all if you live in the Land of Living Skies.

Please note the area/city where you find coupons or a clearance deal. Most of the time things will be the same but sometimes it could differ. Feel free to introduce yourself if you new to SCers and ask for the inside scoop locally.

I like what monkeyincowtown is doing for Calgary Coupon Hunters. She started a thread and has asked everyone to post what they find and what stores.

I'm hoping there might be interest in doing that for Saskatoon as well as meeting up for coffee perhaps?

So, post any coupons you find or great clearance / local deals please.

Please PM me if you like the idea.

Also let me know if you'd like to meet other Saskatoon couponers for coffee/tea one day. I'd like to gift a bunch of newspaper flyer insert coupons to people so they get used.

I had the chance to talk with Alaryk who is a great coupon spotter and we're both interested in pooling resources. Ironically, we had both been in the same store but we each found some different coupons. so it sure helps to know what's out and "where" in the store to look if it's a bit off the beaten track. **I'll let Alarky post what she spotted. She found the better coupons. LOL

Yay! You got it started! Ok mine isn't going to look as pretty as Giving-Small's but here's a couple I found at the Sobeys CS as well:

.75 off any 1 gladware container, bags, or wrap (found as a little book) mar 31 10
A recipe book with campbells save $1 WUB any 3 of the following basically any soup (chunky too), cooking sauce, chillis or V8 products, plus they'll give a can of tomato soup to the food bank. $1 off Converted brand rice or wholegrain brown rice. Aug 31 09
$3 off any crisco oil (this shows extra virgin on the coupon) Aug 31 09

I'm going shopping today or tomorrow so I'll be back soon with anything I find. One other thing, I don't receive the paper so whoever does, it would be great to post when the inserts come so we know to get a paper.
Thanx again GS for getting this started!

*sigh* Not a good coupon shopping trip but airmiles was great at least lol.
Not much new, only save .75 on any Nature's treat product which I found at Coop on 33rd. I also found more $3 off any crisco oil there as well and there were lots!
At Safeway sadly I didn't see anything new. Although they had a bunch of J&J products on sale which was nice as I'm trying to make 2 baby gift bags. I bought 2 cornstarch baby powder (the big container) for 3.99 minus my $1 coupons to make them $2.99 each and 2 aveeno baby lotions (again the big tubes) for $4.99 minus my $1.50 off coupons to make them $3.49 each. I haven't been doing this for long so maybe its not the greatest price but I was happy especially with the buy 4 get 60 Am!

So I spent just over $100
coupon: spend $100 get 100 Am
coupon: buy 3 safeway 12 pack pops get 50 Am
    buy 4 J&J products get 60 AM
    base AM 5

    $111.67=215 AM

I wish all Safeway shopping trips could be like that

So I went to go get a newspaper because I thought the flyer was out today but there was nothing. Did anybody in Saskatoon receive it?

Looks like good deals to me - that's about $30 in airmiles back so you could look at it that you spent $71 for all the things you have.
    Way to go.

No insert in today's paper in my neighborhood - we're usually 2 to 3 days later than other cities. I'll post when I get mine.

Even though Im not in S'toon, Im in Regina, I have to say thanks for the local thread. I would think things should be almost the same between the 2 cities. Closer than Ontario anyways!

Scbpooh -- weclome! thanks for popping by. Please share what you find.

We could make the thread -- Saskatchewan -- as long as we flag store location I think it would really help to have Regina folks contribute. Could you contact a few Scbpooh and see if they're interested? I'll rename if there's interest for sure. More the merrier

Our deals are different than down east and I think Regina/Saskatoon will be very similar.

I keep getting excited at the prices of things - at Walmart or Giant Tiger that Scers talk about, only to be crushed when our flyer comes - not even in it sometimes or the price is higher.

I totally agree. Thats has happened to me many times!!! Its great that flyers and what not are posted but it seems to do us no good here. Sometimes the deals are the same not not very often. Everything is definately more expensive here than out east.

I will try and find the few Reginaians that are on here and get them to look at the post, and they can post thier opinions and what not.

    Hello!
I love this idea! I'm also in Regina, but I think the stores would be very similar. I've often peeked at the Calgary thread and thought what a great idea!

Thanks so much for doing this!
