I'm a BIG fan of Fisher Price. Usually they have great products, that are high quality, intuitive , and educational. However this one disgusted me.
The concept for me was fantastic. It not only acted as a dry erase board to save on paper, it had a POD. The pod had a pen attached to it and was a very educational tool. You could insert chips and put up specific designs made by fisher price for imaginative play and learning. My son had dinosaurs. He loved it.
As well the Easel could fold down adn double as a desk. WOW, talk about having it all. I almost forgot the letters. When you put the pod pen on the letters that were permanent on the board it would say, "A, B, C".
I spent $100 thinking my Son would love this. He did but it wa a SHORT LIVED product. Cheaply made, with defects.
The first issue was mare in a main piece of plastic we found when assembling. OK, it was BRAND NEW. I called FP (fisher Price) and was informed that that part was not available and to return it to the store. Excuse me? It was put together and HUGE...How inconvenient. I decided to deal with the mare. Not a biggie for me now.
After aroudn a month, the pod stopped working. It wasn't' a battery issue I Called them again. I was told they had issues with the pod and were sending me another one. They did. IT worked, again for a while and broke again.
Now i'm gettign disappointed, REAL disappointed. I said screw the pod he can use it as a regular easel/desk. Well after one year, the desk has now bent in in the middle due to CHEAP manufacturing. I think it's similar to cheesy thick cardboard under it.
The only purpose the cheap thing has now is to store some papers and miscellaneous items in. For $100; I think NOT.
I have decided to contact Fisher Price and let them know my disgust and see what they suggest they can do about it. IF they are heading this far down hill with their products I wont' be buying anymore.
I will update after contact. This thread is currently associated with: N/ALast edited by Aphena; Sun, May 3rd, 2009 at 11:48 AM.

thank you so much for this review, people who buy toys need to know
very bad experience you have with a FP product,
in the past, FP was know for being good (i would say, superior) quality products
but for few years now it seems they don't care selling crap
this way they are loosing their good reputation, people won't trust them anymoreLast edited by Mia001; Sun, May 10th, 2009 at 01:19 PM.
