I've given stuff away in less than 1 hr
plus if your fast enough you can get some great deals
I got an older 21 inch monitor for my desktop works great the person had got a flat screen.
I've watched names on there to and sometimes people just want stuff but never give anything back.

freecycle is nice but I find the stuff seems to be gone as soon as it is posted.

sweet finds with the picnic table & monitor!
but yes it's true you need to pretty much reply as soon as the person posts it or it's spoken for.

I absolutely love freecycle. I have belonged to two different ones due to moves and have always utilized it when it was needed. I have also put things on there that we no longer need, especially with a big move coming up. I have received a dress form and lots of material from freecycle just to name a couple of items. It is good that things can be recycled to other people instead of ending up in the dump.

I LOVE Freecycle, i have gotten many great things from there, we received a King size bed set for free which included a mattress, (the bed frame was from a waterbed, but they put a regular mattress in it) it has a bookcase headboard with a light on each side, it also came with a night stand a wardrobe, and a dresser, as well as they delivered as we don't have a vehicle. We also received a 3 piece tv cabinet which is absolutely fabulous. And countless other things, as well we have offered alot of stuff too. We are moving on July 1st, to Guelph and i have already joined their group, as we are going to need a few things for our apartment. Love it love it. But yes you do have to be quick to reply or you lose out.

Question.. how long does it take for Mods to respond and put up the ad. I placed one for a 25" tv yesturday and noone emailed me back and it's still not up. I don't think i'm doing anything wrong. I just put up another one in case they didn't get the first. On one hand i don't want to get them mad but on the other i need to get rid of this thing fast!

Purple, after the first few ads they get posted automatically, so there won't always be a wait time.
Mine have taken up to 24 hours to appear, but never longer. Depends on the mod though
