So, I went to SDM today to send out some coupons for trade, and I ended up getting out my coupon binder and getting a few things.

It's not much, but for my first brag I think I did pretty good.

Iams kitten food: regular price 13.99 - on sale for 8.99 - save.ca coupon for 5$ off, actual cost = 3.99

    Travel size Secret Deodorant - 1.79 - 1$ off coupon = 0.79$

    Travel size Always pads - 1.25 - 1$ off coupon = 0.25

    Travel size Gillette body wash - 1.99 - 1$ off coupon = 0.99

    Travel size Fusion shave gel - 2.49 - 1$ off coupon = 1.49

    Gillette series foam gel - 3.00 - 1$ off coupon = 2$

So, I should have paid 24.51 regular price, with coupons came to 10.01, I redeemed for 10$, and paid 2.27$

I think I did pretty good for my first shopping trip. The travel sized items will come in very handy when we move at the end of the month from BC to Ontario, and the kitten food is for the local SPCA, since we no longer have a cat.

I know right?! And plus, the other day at WM there were a whole bunch of travel sized shampoos and body washes on clearance for like 0.25-0.50$ so I grabbed hold of a few of those too. They always come in handy, you never know when you have to go somewhere at the last minute.

My DH is gonna flip when he sees all the stuff...lol... The reason we're moving is because he's in the Navy and is posted in Borden and my son and I are going there as well.

Great idea on using the coupons on the travel sizes... never thought of that. And they are so handy when travelling but often cost close to the same price as a full size item. Might have to copy your idea and stock up to lighten the load next time we're packing or leave more room for clothes !!!
