Requesting an Ubuntu CD
Ubuntu is available free of charge and we can send you a CD of the latest version (9.04 (Jaunty Jackalope)) with no extra cost, but the delivery may take up to ten weeks, so you should consider downloading the CD image if you have a fast Internet connection.

Linux is awesome, I definitely recommend it. Kubuntu is a little more like windows if you are used to it but Ubuntu is also excellent, my boyfriend uses it on his older computer and it works great. it doesnt take that long to ship and if you order Ubuntu it comes with stickers for you to use saying that you have a Ubuntu computer :D

I tried to put Ubunto on my laptop when a computer specialiest said that my laptop was unfixable and guess what Ubunto worked. I don't like it as much as windows but hey my laptop is still usable and I fixed it for free!!!

I am a linux user.Ubuntu is a very user-friendly OS.I would recommend Ubuntu to anyone who wants to give linux a try.You have a choice to first run it as a live cd to see if you actually like it.You have the option to run it alongside ..cough...Windows.....a dual-boot it is called where you can choose to boot into Ubuntu or Windows when you start your pc.Hope some of you will give it a try.

instead of making Ubuntu waste a bunch of money sending out CDs to people who will never use them, or 'get it,' why don't you instead give them the download link: http://www.ubuntu.com/getubuntu/download
ubuntu is a great project, don't hamper their efforts by having them spend cash to send CDs to a bunch of people just looking to get free junk sent to them in the mail
