I bought one with a cute puppy on the back a little while ago. I haven't gotten much use out of it yet, but I figure more and more he's not going to want to be in the stroller. Frankly, I don't often let him out of the stroller in a public place without it on because he loves to run away. Child abduction is always on my mind when I go out. I've actually been surprised at how many one year olds we've encountered that have NOT been in a stroller or on leash.

yeah mine won't stay in a stroller too long either ... he's a runner!
also, we are going to a convention for 3 days and you can't bring a stroller so i figured this would work perfectly ... so long as he doesn't have a meltdown.

i have the same one, i saw it on a little boy at last years convention and immediatly found one for myself. i always use it on my toddler (hes a runner too!) i even attach the tail to my stroller (i have the sit and stand) so that he cant jump off the stroller and run away.
i think its a great idea, it gives them just a little bit of freedom.

Before I was a mom I thought baby leashes were so cruel... not anymore! Mine isn't quite walking, but will be soon. I will be picking one up if she needs one.

when i was back at work after my first mat leave a woman came in with her child on one. all my coworkers were up in arms about the woman with her child on a leash "like its a dog". i was like "what would you say if this woman just let her kid run around the place??" then i told them to relax ive got one!

My mum had me on one when I was younger. it was just the wrist one, and I remember it being all rainbow coloured with white snaps. (lol, the childhood memories we have). I personally think they are brilliant. I ran away all the time and hid in the clothing racks and made my poor mother panic. I feel bad for doing it now, but it was great fun at the time.
I am so using one on Toby when he is big enough. He is going to be a h*llraiser like his mum.Remember that even though pets are here for such a short time they teach us things we would never be able to learn in many lifetimes on our own.

tested it out at the park today. he loved it!
i knew it would go well since his favorite word is
BACKPACK
lol.
also was his first word if you can believe that.
Anyways ... it went well til it was time to leave ... then all hell broke loose. but i don't think that had anything to do with the leash!
i also like the fact that you can take off the strap without having to remove the whole backpack

i dont know i have 3 lil ones, one is 5 can walk on her own pretty much, knows to stay close to me, the second one is 2 (she's the hard one to control) and the 3 rd one is 4 months who is always in my snugli when we go on our little shopping ventures or walk... i dont want to get those "looks" from poeple when they see me when 3 kids and one on a leash.. lol, (the look saying! YOU SHOULD HAVE STOPPED AFTER 2 KIDS)... but if oneday she refuses to hold me hand when we go outside, I WILL USE THE LEASH.. nothing is worth my kids life!
