To clarify... I'm picking 20 entries that will be promoted to the finals at midnight on Saturday (Sunday morning) -- After which, there will be voting for a week, so the final contest winner is out of my hands, and into the hands that matter... My community!

All you need to do is submit an entry (and if you post a link / mini banner on your blog you have an extra chance of being in the finals) that is about 250 words (really short!) with the words NetChick, Vancouver, Wii, Deluxe and blog (or blogging).

Good luck with your entries -- There is currently a better than 1 in 50 chance of being the winner! And, the prize is actually a gift card for the value of the Wii to Future Shop or Best Buy... So, you can get whatever you want!

Courtesy of Boo Radley at smartcanucks, I am visiting NetChick for the first time. Happy to hear that you are also a fellow SCer. Looks like I am just in time to enter your excellent, DELUXE contest. (Sorry, not overly creative and couldn’t figure out another way to squeeze that word in there).

I am relatively new to the blogging world, having only started back in March. I consider myself to be a mere beginner in comparison to your 10 years online. As a fellow Vancouver native, I hope to be picked as one of the finalists for this contest and win the Wii.

Whew! Now that I’ve dispatched with the word order requirements, here is the story:

Once upon a time in the kingdom of Canuck, there lived King Boo and the UPC Queen. They had three daughters: Rita (the Yam Princess), Prue (the Cat-lover Princess), and Pippi (the Punk Princess). One day, the family went for a ride to survey their kingdom and came across a Dragon Baby. The daughters had planted some lovely gardens earlier that year and the Dragon Baby had stomped on them all, just for fun. The Dragon Baby said it was innocent, that it must have been the wind – but you could still see its tracks, even though it had tried to erase them.

Princess Rita threw yams at the Dragon Baby, but it ducked behind King Boo. Princess Prue tried to charm the Dragon by feeding it kitty treats, and then Princess Pippi tried to punkify the Dragon, but nothing worked. The Dragon was causing so much distress in the Kingdom of Canuck, that King Boo was forced to ban the Dragon Baby from the kingdom, since it refused to behave itself and play nice.
