ExpiredMember needs assistance, can you help?
On many occasions RAOK (Random Acts Of Kindness)
& Pay It Forwards will suffice.
I have teamed up with other SC's to send out several of these types of gifts in the past, and occasionally I open up the call for assistance with gathering/collecting/sending coupons, etc to those that need them.
This is one of those times.
The member of SC, who I trade and rides lots of my trains, has completely lost her binder for coupons. Her husband takes the responsibility for this, but as any avid collector would know, that really feels like you are missing cash out of your pocket, not "just" pieces of paper. At this point, if a train came to her mailbox, she doesn't even have one coupon to add in order to trade.
Now some members on SC may say, how can this happen?
Doesn't she have a tracking radar on that binder?
A GPS linked to the pages which hold her coupons?
An armed guard to protect and serve the priceless goodies
which lay within?
No my friends, she does not have these.
Sad to say, looks like her husband is in the dog house for this one, sleep on the couch, bread and water (tap, not bottle) and destined to live a life of servitude and grovelling at her feet!
Help the SC'r gain a stash (or even help the poor husband, bound to the pull out sofa!)
I have permission to give her address to members wishing to help.
I also know, for a FACT some of the coupons and goodies that went missing. She had just sent me a RAOK envie as a gift-surprise this week... and she had mentioned what someone had blessed her with! (and I know that she would have had this in her book).
Things she uses for her family:
(plus items I know she had)
(These were a gift to her from another SC member, not me)
$5 GC from Walmart
Kellogg's $2 cereal coupons
$4 off WUB 4 Quaker coupon
Other coupons which I (and one other routinely send this member to keep her going)
Cereal (ANY)
Bread
Milk (select varities available in her region) Beatrice is one.
Colgate (nothing expensive)
Lunchmeats
Pizza
McCain fries (only kind available in her area)
Soap (dish and hand)
Spaghetti Sauce
Mr. Clean (and wipes)
Yogourt
Canned Tomatoes
Also: has children (all boys NO babies), a husband and dog/cat
Needs for school lunches:
Juice boxes
lunch meats
snacks
cheese
For home:
Cleaning
Toilet paper
Shampoo
Soap
Deodorant (nothing expensive)
Windex
Laundry products
Basically, if you need it to run YOUR house, she's probably going to need it for hers!
I challenge you to take a look at your coupons, even the ones you hold onto a bit tighter and ask yourself...
if my coupons were lost, and SC's were banding together to send me something to get me going again...
what I would really be hoping for.
Thank you,
If you have any questions, suggestions or wish to contribute please PM me and I'll send you this SC's address.CentrallyCalmCentrallyCalm has sent out 28 trains!...whoo hoo!
